Ooooh this face Milo is just 10 months old, and has been signed over to the Home by his owners. He is a very timid youngster, and he has been left to his own devices for much of his puppyhood, so he is a little bit on the back paw regarding his socialisation and basic training It took us a little while to gain Milo's confidence and trust today, and to persuade him that the garden was a safe and fun place to be. He did have a little spurt of puppy madness though! Milo has lived with another dog, but we're told he is a little wary of meeting new dogs. He's going to need a patient and gentle rehomer to help him make up for lost time As Milo has been signed over and is fully vaccinated he is already on the walkers list, and we reckon he's going to be verrrry popular with our Pilgrims! If you'd like to meet Milo please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Oh this poor little mite. Milo is a stunning dog with gorgeous colouring and the softest little eyes, and he just has the sweetest temperament. He looked quite bewildered when he first came out of the kennels and was a little wary of us both, darting towards us for a quick sniff before meandering away again. Once we reached the estate Milo had started to trust us a little more and we stopped very briefly to say hello before heading onwards. He's not really sure what's happened to him and it's little wonder this sweet boy seems to be looking for something or someone each time a car passes. Milo didn't seem very pleased with the noisy traffic so we headed over the road and towards the Ely trail where it would be a little quieter (and also not as slippery as Grangemoor way), but he was even less enthused about going any further than the boat yard. Rather than stress him out by pressuring him to keep going, we decided to stop on the grass for some treats and photos. Milo wasn't keen on taking treats from our hands at first, but after taking one from the ground and deciding they didn't taste too bad, he very gently took them from our hands. On our way back Milo seemed to have warmed to us considerably more, and he would look back to check on us, pausing to nudge our hands with his nose before zigzagging his way onward. It's obvious Milo doesn't have much in the way of lead training but he walked very well despite that, and it won't be long before he's caught up on his puppy basics. And a puppy he is! Though he spent much of the walk nervously looking around, Milo did show off a few puppy bounces and I can only imagine how much fun he'll have playing in the garden with his forever family once he's grown a little more in confidence.

I took Milo out today and he is a beautiful living dog that indeed seems to have missed out in his growing up, bless him. We passed my car and I went to open the door to put something in and he definitely wanted to get in there!!Turned left at the end of the lane Walked up the road which was very noisy so kept him on the inside and walked up to the end of the road and turned back at the pub. He started to bite the lead on times during the walk but being a young dog he wanted to play and offered no resistance on me removing the lead from his mouth, in fact was a really gentle boy.. On the way back he passed a small dog also from the dogs home and he was petrified of him despite being 4 times his size. There was no aggression in this boy at all and he will make someone a really lovely friend if they are willing to invest the time with him as he's still young and has lots to learn.

Hey Milo is beautiful and Im sure will get snapped up in a wonderful home soon. Given his colouring/marking I wonder if hes a Bavarian mountain hound cross Greyhound?. They can have quite different needs to a normal hound I think (Not sure) as they arent traditional "Pack" hounds. I knew someone who owned a full Bavarian mountain hound and although lower to the ground and stockier their coats are very unique to the breed and Milo has that amazing colouring! Hes definitely a pointy beauty!

Hi everyone I'm Milo and I'm about 10 months, yep I'm still a pup hehe. I went out with Alex a few times over the weekend and I'm definitely getting more confident every day, but she's adamant on calling me Milesπ π I'm a little nervous at first, especially if I don't know you but once I get to know you I soon open up and relax hehe.. I'm not really a big fan of the roads and loud noises, I still need to build my confidence but I always give it a try.. Alex saw that I was a little nervous walking on the road so we changed our route and went another way instead where it was much quieter hehe. Alex talks a lot and that soon helped, and I was giving her kisses in no time. We went to see the ducks but I wasn't that interested, but I love to investigate and explore and apparently I don't pull one bit π When I get exited I like to do little leaps and I also like to touch my nose in your hand just to remind you that I'm there. Today it was so cold and wet so Alex gave me a massive big cuddle and I leaned into her to warm up hehehe. Alex doesn't think I'll be here for long hehe ππππππ
