Please give a warm Friends welcome to William
William was super-excited when we brought him out for his photo session, but we managed to get him to pose nicely in exchange for sausages. Come and get 'em William!
William overheard us saying 'I wonder if he knows 'paw'.....
He's such a bright boy - he was miles ahead of us
William is still a little excitable, like a child in a playpark, but he responds beautifully to clear and calm instructions, and despite being a little mouthy when he was freestyling around the garden, William showed us that he could take treats as gently as a lamb from our fingers
We gave William the pick of the toy box, he wasn't interested in tuggies or balls, but it didn't take us long to find out his favourite thing in the whole world was the red plastic squeaky bone!
Which lasted all of 2 minutes!
Never mind William, plenty more where they came from thanks to the very generous donations we had over Christmas!
William met our resident dog temperament tester Bas...
It's always good to know that our incoming dogs have good doggy manners
Bas is such a clever boy at sussing out whether our incomers are friendly, and he gave Williams the thumbs up. Yep - he seems like a nice boy mum! Give the boy a sausage!
If Williams's owners don't come to reclaim him he will be available for rehoming from 19th January, and if you'd like to meet him please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays.
Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.
