Please welcome Prince, stunningly handsome collie boy This gentle fella was brought into Cardiff Dogs Home under difficult circumstances when a member of his family was suddenly taken ill, and it's taking Prince a little while to get used to his new surroundings. He has seen the vets, but due to a rather sore and distressing skin complaint he wasn't able to be vaccinated when he arrived. This means Prince is having to spend more time on soft quarantine than incomers generally do, and as many people know, collies often struggle in a kennel environment. The staff have been making special efforts to help Prince settle, and he really enjoyed his garden break from kennels Prince is a very sensitive lad, and he has found a good friend in staff member Rob. It seems very unlikely now that Prince's owner will be in a position to have him back, so Prince is now looking for a loving home. If you'd like to express an interest in rehoming Prince please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. good afternoon, has this lovely collie been adopted yet@ marje, Prince is still at CDH - we took him for a walk yesterday and he was as good as gold, very gentle, no reaction to passing dogs, people or traffic.
He was just happy to be out in the afternoon sunshine, taking in all the sights and (most importantly) the smells!!
Prince is a stunning dog with beautiful colouring and big, soulful eyes. I'm sure he would make a wonderful companion.

Good afternoon. Is Prince still looking for a home and do you know how old he is?
I believe Prince is 5 years old and he was still at CDH on Friday - but give the staff a ring on 02920711243 for the latest info.
I have walked Prince several times and he is a real sweetie, a bit nervous at first, but quite affectionate once he gets to know you and such a handsome boy.

Another lovely walk with this beautiful boy today.
It was 1p.m. and it was his first walk so he was desperate to toilet (clearly house trained!!) and, after an absolute age relieving himself, he was obviously feeling so much better bless him, and we were ready for the off!!
Prince is so worried about big lorries and very noisy cars, so I always try to avoid the main roads if possible and as soon as he gets away from all the traffic he visibly relaxes. He is very affectionate, loves a fuss and sits beautifully to (very gently) take a treat.
At the moment Prince is highlighted for 'experienced walkers' only but this was due to his initial nervous disposition, which has improved substantially since he has been walked regularly. This dear boy would thrive in the right environment and with a loving and patient forever family.
Love this boy so much xxx

Hi is Prince still available? Hi ambridge,
Prince was still at CDH yesterday when I took him for a lovely long walk. He is very nervous of big lorries, so its great to walk him on a Sunday as the roads are much quieter than the rest of the week.
Prince is a beautiful boy who is very affectionate when he gets to know you - he walks well on the lead and responds to his name.
Those of us volunteers who walk him regularly love him to bits!!
