Well hellooooooo beautiful Cookie arrived recently as a stray from the Vale of Glamorgan. She's a stunningly pretty girl, but she is still a little worried about her recent change of circumstances, and has a perpetual look of anxiety 'Smart Cookie'? You bet! She knows how to ask nicely for treats... And she knows if she takes them ever so gently she'll get more And she sees door handles as more of a gentle challenge than a barrier to escape.... Yup! I got this!Cookie is a a fit-as-a-fiddle large breed girlie, but she is as light on her paws as a ballerina! She does have a natural inquisitiveness though, and a bit of bacon on a kitchen surface would be nothing more than a gentle invitation to dine for Cookie! Cookie is already on the walkers list, and we're pretty sure she's going to be a favourite with our Pilgrims! Who could resist this face? Cookie is now available for rehoming, and if you'd like to meet her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Only a quick walk up the lane and back today with the delightful Cookie as she has a poorly leg. We stopped at the top of the lane for a quick get to know you cuddle and what a friendly, loving girl she is. Hoping to take her for a longer walk another time, unless she's snapped up and on her forever sofa πΎππΎ

I took Cookie out on Tuesday before her leg was bad and she was such a sweetheart!π she did pull down the lane at first but she was just happy to be out, after 5 mins we had slack leads and Cookie would pretty much right next to me. We stopped at the riverbank to *try* and get some selfies, but Cookie is just tooo full of love so when I bent down to her level, she would hug me and kiss me so the photo went out the window! She still seems a little worried and wants to be close to somebody to let her know it is ok. Cookie walked past other dogs with no reaction, just a glance over to them, even if they reacted. She did a lovely sit at the crossing without me even asking, and we also randomly bumped into a lady who lives close to me and we had a quick chat and Cookie was very well behaved, she seems to be very clever and i'm sure she would thrive in the right home. Good luck Cookie you bootiful girl ππ

Hi friends I'm Cookie and no I am definitely not a cookie monster but I do know, sit, paw and touch to get them treats hehehe πππ I am very well mannered and I'm not a cookie monster but I am most definitely a cuddle monster πππ I don't mind other dogs and the dogs that I saw when I was with Alex... I just wanted to play with them. My tail was going like the clappers and I just wanted to say hello ππ€ I walk very good on the lead and I like to investigate things and have a good old sniff π The last picture of my was me giving paw for one of Alex's yummy treats, but she said the picture doesn't do me justice and caught me on my bad side ππππ Alex said she doesn't think I'll be here long because everyone needs a cuddle monster in their life, especially a cookie cuddle monster. Lots of love from Cookie at Heartbreak Hotel πππ

Walked Cookie today what an absolutely gorgeous girl. Sheβs got a swagger, always smiling and always friendly towards other dogs. Why she is still here is beyond me she never fails to make you smile. An active family would love an addition like Cookie sheβs as bright as a button and beautiful too. Cookie luck doesnβt come into this you will get the home you deserve because you are a beautiful soul.

Cookie, why are you still waiting? Can't fault her!!! Lovely to walk, very friendly to everyone you meet on two legs or four. We had a lovely cwtch sitting on the grass in the shade, I could have stayed there all day! I was tempted to put her into my car and drive home with her!!!! Beautiful, lovely girl! πΎππΎ

I took Cookie for a walk two weeks ago, and she is such a lovely dog. Just as sweet as her name suggests. She walked wonderfully on the lead and offered up some hugs at one point too. She had no problem passing other people or dogs, and the rain didn't dampen her spirits at all. A really lovely dog who'll make a great companion to whichever family decides to welcome her in.

Hi friends I'm Cookie but also known as the Queen of the Cookie as I love biscuits so much ππ€ I've been out with Alex these passed few days and we have made sure to stay in the shade and throw some side eye in π Hehehe only joking I can't help it if I'm little miss sassy pants like my good friend Yasmine ππ I had a lovely pamper on the weekend, therefore I thought I'd take it upon myself to roll in some dirt yesterday and some fox poop this morning hehehehe. Even though we were out for a hour or so we spent most of it in the shade, people watching because that's my favourite. We saw this dog jogging with its owner and me and Alex both thought "what a poor pup" π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ Some people have no idea. We don't wear shoes like you humans, the floor gets boiling hot and that's how we burn our feet, and we can't sweat to cool ourselves down. Please keep us pups in the shade and cool, and do not shut us in cars.... We can DIEπππππ But apart from that little rant we hope you have a lovely day hehehehe. Ps, I have found my furever home and I have the most perfect family I just need a little operation on my knee and then i am good to go a woop woop. I love my new family so much they come and see me every day and sometimes even twice a day on the weekend π€ππ€ππ€π€ππ€π€π€ππ€

Cookie has had a fabulous forever home waiting for her for a while now, and following surgery for her cruciate injury last week, she has opted to spend her rest and recouperation period with her new peeps, as she didn't want to stay in kennels a moment longer. We are very grateful to Cookie's new family for taking her in at a very difficult time, Cookie will need weeks and weeks of crate rest, and for such a young and lively dog this can be very challenging. Cookie sends kisses to everyone who donated towards her surgery too, she's a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love. Be happy in your new home Cookie
