Well hello there little 'un Roland is a 5 month old babe, who has already had more homes than any dog should have We rather think he's missed out on his early learning puppy training, so he's a bit on the back paw already, but he's still a youngster and if you can teach an old dog new tricks, you can certainly help a pupster with a bit of catch up It took us all of 5 minutes to persuade Roland to give us nice 'sit' in exchange for a treat! We only had the pleasure of Roland's company for about 20 minutes though, and it didn't seem fair after everything he's been through recently to make him work for the camera, so Roland had a bit of fun with the pineapple... Yeah, that doesn't actually count as one of your 'five a day' Roland! If you'd like to meet Roland please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Things didn't quite work out for Roland, and he was been returned to the Home today. He seems to have enjoyed his brief 'holiday' but sadly hasn't learned much since he left, so we decided to start his catch-up lessons as soon as he arrived, with the help of Miss Daisy who is one of our temporary residents at Cardiff Dogs Home. With gently managed introductions Roland made a new friend on his first day back Roland is still a little bit on the back paw regarding his early learning, but we spent about 20 minutes with him in the garden before he met Miss Daisy to put him through his paces, and as we originally thought, Roland is a verrrrrry clever laddie who just needs someone to put in some time and effort to help him become the fabulous adult dog he is destined to be.

Hi everyone I'm Roland and I'm a young pup who is full of beans with everything to live for π I've been in the wars lately, I've broke my leg and that set me back in my training, and then I got a little depressed but don't worry I'm back to my wacky self hehe ππ As you can see I'm a young pup who is full of energy, I need some training and someone to go through the basics with me, but I'm a fast learner and a real sweetie who just needs some guidance. When I go for walks I'm not used to the lead and I do not like the lead, the lead is bad, and not good for me ππ Yes, I do play up on my walk but it's just because there is so much going on I just don't know what to do with myself π But put me in the garden and you see a completely different side to me, you'll see the real me, where all I want to do is play and snuggle, I even take treats so gently and you can even take my toys, I sit and wait for you to throw it. Especially the Mr Poo toy, it's my absolute fave ππ€£ All I need is someone to show me right from wrong and invest some time in me. I am one of the sweetest pups, even though my naughty side may come out once in a while, but that's because I have never been shown how to properly conduct myself ππ Lots of love, Roland ππππππππππ

We had the pleasure of taking Roland for a (quite soggy!) walk in the rain on Sunday - and instantly fell in love ! He can be a bit excited when he comes out of the kennel, but that's to be expected with a puppy of his age. He quickly calmed down and was just happy to be out and about. It's clear he loves people and scratches, he was an absolute diamond
