Please welcome Jax Jax is a 3 year old cute bundle of terrier fun! He has been signed over to the Home by his owner as Jax was a little too excitable and exuberant around the toddler in the house, and rather than sideline him from family life his owner decided it would be in Jax's best interests to sign him over. He's a typical little terrier, and the stuffed squirrel kept him amused for all of 20 seconds. So much to do! So many things to see! So many people to meet eh Jax? Jax is as fit as a butcher's dog, and is in fabulous condition. He was a very loved and cherished pet. He has been well socialised around humans, and couldn't contain his excitement and joy when he met his fellow residents! Jax's natural friendliness did tend to spill over into 'frisky' when he first arrived, but he was booked in for his big boy's op straight away, and his doggy greetings are quickly becoming a lot more appropriate Jax is a happy little chappie, loves treats, and knows his basic commands. Good 'sit' Jax! Jax is a very active and lively little dog, and he would love an outdoorsy lifestyle with plenty of opportunities to run his little legs off! Jax could live happily with dog savvy older children, and with other dogs, and if you'd like to meet him pop up to Newport City Dogs Home! TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment and neutering.

I have taken Jax out walkies twice now. He is a very friendly boy. He is better on a harness than just a collar. He doesn't bark at other dogs, just wags his tail and wants to sniff them. He stops at every lamppost and lots of other places too. He is ok with traffic going by

Good morning,
Is Jax still available?
I have a 4 year old female Jack Russell that could do with a playful companion. My Jack is your typical, yappy, full of fun and personality Jack russell!
Would Jax go well with a dog similar to himself?
If So, if be keen to come and meet Jax this week!
Many thanks
Laura

Oh I see!
I have a 4 year old miniature JRT who is extremely playful, reading Jax's profile, he sounded like the perfect match for her!
I figured they would get on so well together, spend all day playing and completely ware eachother out!
I'm a little confused as to why he can't be homed with another dog, as the forum post states he can be homed with another dog.

The little fella has completely recovered from his big boy's op, but he is still extremely frisky around some dogs This has on one occasional spilt over into a little spat with a very well mannered dog, and the staff are being cautious to ensure the chemistry, energy levels, etc are perfectly matched with any resident dogs. Jax's previous owner has forwarned the staff that Jax is a jumper, and can easily clear child gates, so a safe garden is a must. If you could come armed with your vet reference too that help things along if you are interested in offering Jax a home. Hope to see you on Saturday, but you might want to telephone ahead to make sure the staff are still taking applications for Jax. The number is 01633 290902. x
