Some dogs just break your heart, and Ocean is one of them Ocean was brought in by the Vale of Glamorgan wardens as a stray. He's an older fella, completely bewildered by his change of circumstances, and we are praying that his owners are going to come forward to claim him, because kennels is no place for a gentle old dog like Ocean How anyone can abandon such a sweet old boy is a mystery. So let's hope we're wrong, let's hope someone is looking for him, and is missing him as much as he is missing them. Ocean gave us his paw in friendship, but he really, really doesn't want to be here. If no-one comes forward to claim Ocean, he's going to have to learn to love all over again. It's going to be tough for him to get over his heartache, but he doesn't seem to have completely lost his faith in humans. He's a lovely old boy, we can't imagine that he asks for a lot at his time of life, gentle walks, quiet companionship, and someone to love. For more information or if you'd like to meet Ocean please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. I took Ocean out a couple of days ago and he is just the loveliest boy. He really belies his age as he is a great walker and strong (though not too much so) on his lead. He has a lovely nature and it’s sad to think such a super boy should be needing a new home at his time of life. Hopefully he’ll find the perfect family and will settle back to enjoy his latter years. He is very handsome with a winning personality to match.

I've just got back from the loveliest walk with Ocean. He was the sweetest boy, very good on the lead and no problems passing dogs, people, cars, cyclists .... we walked up through Llandough and Ocean enjoyed a good sniff. He made me laugh as he leaned in to bushes to scratch his back, and had a far away look in his beautiful eyes as he walked sideways along them. It was getting hot and I think Ocean was tiring (it was his second walk) so we wandered back slowly which gave me more time for cuddling him. He's adorable and I hope he finds his forever home really soon.
