Please welcome teeny tiny chi Sophie Sophie was found straying on the weekend and was taken immediately to Summerhill Vets for xrays as she is very lame on her back leg. The vets reported that there is no obvious injury and it is likely that her lameness is due to a birth defect, rather than injury. Sophie is spending the weekend in the tender care of one of our most trusted volunteers for further assessment, and will be back at Newport City Dogs Home on Monday to meet her public. The vets have guestimated her age at between 10-12 months. If you'd like more information, or would like to meet Sophie please contact the staff or pop in, no appointment needed! TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment and neutering.

Hello
We love Sophie and wonder if she has been checked to see if she gets on with other dogs as we already have a boy jackahuahua

Hi Leanne. When we were there, on Monday, Sophie was out in the garden with three other smallish dogs and they all got on fine. Obviously, should you be interested in adopting her, it would be sensible to bring your own dog to meet her before putting in an application..
