Please say 'Bonjour' to Mademoiselle Evie Evie is a pretty little Frenchie who was brought in as a stray. She isn't microchipped, and no-one has come forward to claim her, so Evie is looking for a new home. She is friendly and affectionate and she hasn't put a paw wrong since she arrived, but no matter how well-behaved Evie is, you'll never be able to say 'you wouldn't know she's in the house' - because you can hear Evie schnorting wherever she is. This isn't 'cute' - it is a result of her breathing difficulties due to poor breeding practices. Pugs and bulldogs suffer the same compromised airways, and many brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs require palate surgery at some point in the lives. For this reason the staff would prefer a breed experienced home for Evie, someone who has or who has previously owned a brachycephalic dog and who is familiar with the health issues that many of these dogs experience. If you'd like to meet Evie, or for more information, please contact the staff at the Home on 029 2071 1243.
