Hi everyone, love all the good work you are all doing. I live with my twins and our three collies, Hannah, Leo and Marlow. Twins are 17 now and my daughter has always loved animals; she helps out at local puppy classes and the advanced classes with her dog Hannah. Hannah is now 13 yrs old and is the pup we kept from our much loved collie Gemma's only ever litter at 11yrs young! We took Gem in from a 'free to good home ad'. We were lucky enough to keep Gem until she was 21 years old. Hannah has been my daughter's pup from the moment she was born and is fantastic at obedience. Leo turned up on a neighbours doorstep, very thin and matted fur, very weak, he had obviously been wandering for weeks. We agreed to take him in. I had to gradually cut off all his matted fur with nail scissors to be able to bath him and treat him for fleas etc. We had to wait ages before we could have him neutered in case his owners claimed him. Once we had the all clear that we could keep him he was neutered, stopped weeing in the house and he started puppy classes and gained Good Citizen awards. He then went on to do agility which he absolutely loves. Marlow is a recent addition from puppy class. He was not the right dog for the family who owned him and needed a home where his enthusiastic approach could be channelled to positive outcomes. He is now one of our family and doing great at obedience and starting agility.

Lovely to see you here - did you know we've got a show next Sunday - are you coming? Sounds like you've got a few contenders there for 'Best Rescue' rosettes If you and the twins are around tomorrow (Sunday) between 11 and 2, pop down to the Home, we have a bit of a chit & chat, bring your lovely donations day on the Last Sunday of every month, and it would be nice to put a face to the forum name ;D Welcome to our world normasark Susie xxx
