Sooo sad, but peeps, you did everything for Nahla that any one of us would have done for our own beloved dogs She truly had the best care, and the best chance, and she was loved, by so many of you, and really, that's all any dog could ask for. I walked Nahla for 10 minutes on Thursday, she seemed to enjoy being out, but whispered gently to me after a little while that she was tired, and she led me back to her kennel. Her pain medication was being monitored daily by the staff and the fabulous vets from Summerhills. I'm so glad, for Nahla's sake, that she came into the care of CDH before she died, because at least she died surrounded by care and compassion, and with dignity. Rest easy Nahla, sweet dreams lovely girl

Osteosarcoma is a really nasty disease, UK statistics show that in 98% of cases, dogs with Osteo have already had a spread of the disease before you are aware that the disease is present at all. Bev, a lady well known in dog circles ;D, has been fundraising for Osteo research since her beloved Darcy was diagnosed. Sadly, they lost Darcy last year but Norty Grace, one of Darcy's younger sisters has taken over fundraising. They are holding their next event, an online auction, from 6-13 April and have some absolutely fantastic lots that have been donated. So, if you would like to help support the The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine - Greyhound Health and Wellness Program and the UK Deerhound Club, (the money raised, now and in the future, will be ring fenced for a brand new study into Dilated Cardiomyopathy in Deerhounds in the UK, then click the link to view this fantastic acution. Obviously the research will help support any dogs with these diseases. Darcy's legacy
