Any of you guys that have met me know, I have a little Rottweiler addiction! Little being a slight understatement I love the breed and hate the stigma attached to them!
Lennie was a stray and was with us some time he's a big old rottie with a bonk eye and was slightly kennel protective. When the public walked past he would let out his loud manly bark which put a lot of people off. I had fancied lennie from the moment I laid eyes on him! Love at first site was deffinatley the case but I still lived at home with my parents... So I got thinking.. I pestered Lee (kennel assistant) to take him as like me he loves his rotties but he already had 3! And adding another male to the equation was not a good option.
So I contacted a lovely gentleman I know who works at a motor sports garage, he fixes a lot of the drift and race cars you see on the track today.
He had been having issues with people breaking into the yard and stealing extremely expensive equipment so I suggested a guard dog and BAM! like A lightbulb moment it came to me that lennie was the dog for the job!
So the very next day Lee brought lennie up the yard. At first he was a bit defensive and found it hard to trust anyone other than Lee, but given time he has settled into what can only be described as a Completley diffrent dog!
He has done his job on numerous accessions and we have had no break ins since! There has been signs that they have attempted to break in heard pennies fierce roar and run!
He was playing with my pup the other day! Now in the pound it was made clear we were to put him with no other dogs! Now he is so settled and chilled he needs a mate
I've attached some photos of the amazing guy.
A big big thank you to buffy at blendini Motorsports. Lennie Clearly thinks the world of this guy! And they have become Completley inseparable!
A true inspiration and living proof that rotties are a gentle giant but can prove useful when trained and cared for correctly using responsible pet ownership!
