Haha, thats okay, Pickle doesnt offend easily The 8pm class was a bit rowdy to say the least wasnt it! Poor Murphy just sat there in silence whilst all the others took it in turn to have a go! I hope he settles in with that class, good luck! And if we dont see you at classes we'll see you for the August show x

Denise has posted Caroline's website details on page 1 of this thread Beckham. She is very much in demand, not surprisingly, she really is top banana!
If anyone is considering getting trainer/beahviourist help, I would always ask the following questions....
Where did you study? For how long? What professional qualifications do you have? What professional associations do you belong to? Do you have professional indemnity insurance? Do you have public liability insurance?
If the answer to the last two questions is 'no', I would think extremely long and hard before you hand over any money, or accept any advice.
It's so easy for someone to simply say they are a trainer/behaviourist, but it is not a 'no harm' situation if someone unskilled gives bad or wrong advice to pet owners. So much damage can be done, and our pets are far too precious to let that happen.
Good luck Beckham! If Caroline's 'pupil's would like to share and compare their experiences here, I'm sure it could be such a useful resource for many people. But there's no substitute for professional help if you feel your dog (or you) needs guidance, or if you are experiencing difficulties.

Ah bag lady I had read the first comment and bypassed the link Doh! I will take a browse at the website, Biscuit is getting on great, he's learnt sit, No, off but it's mainly for the socialising aspect..we took Becks for about 4/5 sessions and he had no social issues.
Keep the experiences coming it'll be a great help :-)

Hi Denise and Lianne How are Woody and Murphy getting on in class?? Pickle is having a ball ;D I think last week was her best yet, the last 5 minutes of class she was struggling to keep her eyes open as she was so mentally exhausted!! She seems to be quite a quick learner, and the fact that she is such a foodie also helps Caroline is so patient with all the dogs in our group. We do have a few "rowdy" characters (Pickle being one of them!!) but nothing seems to make her flap and no dogs are ever excluded from the group or any of the exercises. Hope you and your hounds are enjoying yourselves x

Hi Becky,
I'm so glad Pickle is enjoying her class. She's a bright little button isn't she? Poor Woody missed a class we went north for my brother's 40ish and then last week the ruddy car conked out on our way there. Caroline is a total star and has said we should go for double helpings tomorrow. Woody's the remedial pup now! I'll give you a progress report after the class. Even having only been to 2 classes and had a pre-vac visit from Caroline I feel I've learned so much about how to praise and encourage my little one so he becomes a charming young lad. ;D

Woody did really well at his double class last night. He seemed full of life afterwards. We were totally exhausted! One of the exercises was an off lead heal weaving around other dogs sat with their owners. Woody loves other dogs so we had to behave like loons to get him to focus on us and the treats rather than his puppy comrades. Thank god no-one had a video camera. He did it though. It was great to see little Charlie who used to be called KC and lived in the cage at CDH (the patterdale x). Not only has he grown loads but he seemed so calm and well behaved. He's obvioulsy very, very happy in his new home. Here's a pic of Woody and his Other Mother (Fliss) in class.

Ah look at him, he seems so focused!! So pleased that he is doing well ;D Thats brilliant that he behaves so well off lead around other dogs! Pickle was a bit of a madam last night I dont know if it was the heat making her tired but she just couldnt be arsed! Commands like sit and wait that she does very easily at home were just too much bother for her. The only things she would concentrate on were the Nina Ottosson games that Caroline brings along with her. As soon as we got her home she flopped in her bed for the rest of the night! We only have 2 more classes left!! I cant believe how quickly the time has gone! We have an ex CDH dog in our class too, he was called Joey when he was at the Home but is now Fred. He's a little terrier boy and is just so adorable!! His mum and dad love him to bits and he is such a well behaved boy

Hi, Murphy is doing really well now at the class. We have generally tended to just sit and observe until he feels comfortable, which for the last 2 weeks he has. We can just see by the way he behaves that he is getting more confident which is so so pleasing. We have tried doing the " stay " with him but as soon as I tell him to stay or wait, he just puts his 2 paws on my shoulders and kisses me to death!!! lol..Im not bothered though cos building his confidence is much more important for him at the moment. He has improved quite dramatically which is fantastic. Looking forward to the August show.

Woody really showed me up tonight. I couldn't get his attention to do basic stuff he does quite happily at home on a daily basis. Earlier today he got a bit...em...how should I put this....'excited' when playing with a tuggy. I think he might have turned into Kevin the Teenager! Happily, he's knackered now and so has turned back into a super sweet cuddle pup. The trials of being a puppy mam!

The first night was a success, not a single noise (didnt howl.) , he slept most of night in his bed, and no accidents in the house (i really am a lucky, arent i?) This morning at 7am i woke up to walk him, and he had number one, and number 2 (really bad number 2) which makes me think he is been holding that in for a long time tonight and didnt even moan one bit. FINGERS CROSSED everything stays this way, even if i still cant get over how good he is.

Congratulations Maria, you got your boy ;D
If you are thinking of puppy classes (or adult classes for the older dogs) I can highly recommend Caroline. We were fortunate enough to win our classes in the raffle at the Tremorfa Spring show but we were going to go to her classes anyway. Caroline makes the classes fun for both dogs and the humans and she really understands the dogs. If your dog has a behaviour problem of any kind, she will have a solution for you!! Even if you have a very well behaved pup, the dogs seem to enjoy the classes from a socialising point of view - Pickle loves her Tuesday nights out ;D

I still cant believe it.... He is really good in everything, even responds to his name already (follows me everywhere, starting to look like my shadow.) And he does the sit, paw, down etc. (down he learned yesterday ;D) Still dont know -come-, but when i say harry he comes straight away, and doesnt know home (his bed) but hes doing really good so far. Im so proud of him. But i have realized he LOVES dogs with passion (or looks like he does) So i think classes to socialize him would be good. (he doesnt do a polite sniff, he just jumps to the other dog in playful puppy mode.) I wanna give him a few days to settle in, then im pretty sure im gonna join those classes as i think they would be beneficial for him.
