Please say a hello to the majestic Moses! This handsome fella behaved impeccably when he came out for his photoshoot and walked very well on the short walk from the kennels to the photo studio (aka the Vets room!). He had a good sniff around the place and then it was all about the pate on offer He took his treats very gently and did a fantastic "sit" and "paw" Good lad Moses! We think he is aged 6+ and Moses will be available for rehoming from 20 July. If you'd like more info, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm

Oh my goodness, he is beautiful. We saw him in his kennel Sunday and he was lovely as we talked to him through the cage...waggy tail and smiling face. I look forward to hearing more about him. xx

Moses is a beautiful boy, he was a true gentleman on the lead today and didn't bat an eyelid at passers by/ children/ cyclists or any other distractions. He is a real stunner- I even had a couple stop to tell me so! (Which made his tail wag like mad)- but he also has a soft personality to boot. When we got to the top of the hill in the field he promptly stretched out at my feet for a cuddle and was quite happy to sit and be fussed and take in the view. I hope someone snatches him up soon, he'll make a lovely companion Attachments:

This boy is lush! We woke him up when we were chatting to the dog in the next kennel and gave him quite a surprise, he was sleeping in the middle of the kennel ;D He had a bit of a grumble, but as soon as he was told he sat and looked at us and we had a lovely chat. He just looked like he wanted someone to spend time with and he has the loveliest face.
Now I live next door to 5 maybe 6 Rotties and they make me nervous mainly because they live in kennels, are not socialised and they are massive, this boy however, was very friendly and made me think twice about my view of Rotties.

Ahhhhhh Moses - you are everything Miss Snoop dreamed you be This lovely boy joined 'The Snoop Loop' yesterday, tall, dark and handsome, he was such a good boy! Before we brought Snoop out to see her new bf, Moses had a bit of playtime in the car park, and he simply loved the BOOMER BALL! He made the maddest noises, he was like - Oooooooohhhhhhh, aaaarrrrrhhhhhhhhggggg, uuuuoooooooooooorrrrrrrrggggggggg', so funny! Pure ecstasy! Have a little look at this little vid... Here

Moses has now had two more 'dates' with miss snoop and he is just such a gentleman! He has AMAZING powers of tolerance and calm, despite not actually being allowed to go up and say hello to his new ladyfriend (which he desperately wanted to do) he behaved perfectly and was happy to wait patiently in view of her whilst she did her training. He even responded to the odd wuff from her with a lovely tail wag! Smitten or what? I have to say, he is just an utterly beautiful dog; he has a face with all the boyish charm you could ask for, a lovely personality and walks with such grace. I can't believe he's hung around so long, I'm sure he'll find his forever home soon ;D

I walked Moses today! Moses is an excellent example of the wonderful, misunderstood breed. He trotted along nicely with me, taking in all the sights and sounds of our walk with a healthy alertness. We stopped for a drink and had a lovely cuddle. He has the thicker type of fur some Rotties have (like my own old Rottie did) which makes him feel like a big soft cuddly bear. He didn't mind at all, having some strange woman wrapping her arms round him! He just humored me and let me get the cuddles in! He showed a calm, friendly interest in passing dogs and was not bothered by cars or cyclists. We were out for about 45-50 minutes and that seemed just right for Moses. I have found Rotties aren't built for long distance or speed but Moses seemed happy to go with the flow. After the initial distraction of just sheer love of being on a walk, he turned his attention on me and would look at me for direction when we reached a turning (or the benches where the dogs know treats are often given!!). I think this is very positive, as he seemed confident but happy to be led. Moses it an extremely handsome boy with ears that bounce as he walks! His fur is in great condition already but with a bath in a new forever home, he would have even shinier fur. He is a very good looking boy! He isn't that big for a Rottie either. I would say he is a medium sized Rottie, not too big or small....perfect in every way!! If my own dogs would be more welcoming to another boy, I would snap Moses up myself!! I can see what Snoop sees in him!

Unfortunately we have some very, very sad news. The staff have had some concerns about Moses for some time, he had started showing sings of food aggression which had recently become much worse. There were a number of incidents where Moses had almost bitten a member of staff when food was in the vicinity, and once when in the vet room. The incidents were serious in nature and the decision had to be made to let Moses go Whilst Moses was a fantastic boy there was no way the staff could consider rehoming him so there really was no choice. Rest in peace big man, run free and easy. You will be missed xxx
