Thank you all for your welcome ;D Ang, I was waiting for some idiot nice person to suggest I post pics. I just didn't want to use up your entire month's bandwidth with one thread Here goes...... Meet Candie, aka Worm. She's around 15 years old, deaf, blind in one eye and has mobilty problems due to a stroke. She'll have been with us 5 years next month and came to us as a Poundie foster, through Hope Rescue. This is Bodie, the Dog of Very Little Brain, bless him. 4 years this month since we took him from the pound, as a foster for Hope Rescue, and he's still here. He was found stuck in a barbed wire fence at around 12 weeks of age, weighing just 5kg and with a huge open wound. He's had 6 ops already, may need a 7th very soon and will always be lame. But it doesn't bother him in the slightest. This is Dylan, who's been with for 4 years next month. He was only supposed to be here for a few nights until transport to his "proper" foster home became available. Thngs went wrong, he was back in kennels and OH rang me to say : "Bet you can't guess who I've got in the car!" Dyl's around 5 years old , came to us through Hope Rescue. This is Tinker, aka Mongrel (odd, as he's the only full breed we have ) He came to us on foster from Lizzie's Barn with no problems. After he settled in it was he clear he had a few issues; the options were us...or life at the Barn without being rehomed. Thanks to Fionna's trust in us he was able to stay here, and he's doing ok. With us 2 and a half years this month. Zebo, now aged about 7-8 years. Came to us from SSBTR...one loonnnnnng trip, but it was worth it. He was bought from some scum people playing football with him, and went via SSPCA with 2 broken legs into the care of Scottish Staffie Rescue and a fab foster home. Haven't finished yet.......

Scooter at Newport Pound's dog show earlier this year. He's been here since June 2004 when we visited the Just For Dogs Rescue just to have a look Scooter found himself dumped in a ditch in the middle of nowhere. He was suffering from Parvo, which is probably why he was dumped. Well, he played tug of war with my hand through his run and pulled OH over when we took him out. We introduced him to the others and he thought Leah trying to eat him him - she was muzzled - was an ace game!! Leah settled, Scooter stayed. This is Freya, collie x staffie, absolute nutter and around 11 years old at our best guess. She was apparently at death's door when hse came to us on foster through Hope Rescue, and hadn't left her bed for 2 days. She'd had an op for Pyometra. Well, she started bouncing within a few hours.....and will have been bouncing on and with us 5 years next February! And that's the lot....for now ;D
