Setting up at 11.30 - registration from 12.00 and the first class starts at 1 o'clock ;D The weather forecast (I've been told) is like the best chips, crisp and dry ;D So bring your cardi's but you can leave your brollies home Don't quote me issit If anyone wants to bring their bits up to Barry tomorrow (Saturday) at 4 o'clock, tables and stock can be left there overnight - I might take the teddy tombola stuff up tomorrow, it really does fill up the car! But there will still be plenty of stock to go up from the store on Sunday, so if anyone is able to give us a hand with transport, we would be very grateful Sxoxox

Weather forecast is good ;D Ellie, could you meet me at the store? It's on Penarth Road, a few hundred yards up from the Porsche roundabout (going towards Penarth). Looking forward to this one, it should be a really nice day There's a link for directions hereHead into Barry on the bottom road, past MacDonalds, past Dow Corning (on your left), when you get to the grass triangle, take the right fork, you'll go under the railway bridge, keep right at the junction, up the hill, over the brow of the hill, and the park is on your left ;D See you there peeps Bring a cake if you baked one

We had a really good day ;D The weather exceeded all our expectations ....and it set the tone for the day, brilliant, sunny, smiley, warm and altogether fabulous My camera didn't get much of an outing, as the stall was busy from the minute we set up until the second we packed away, but I couldn't resist getting a few pics.... Come on then, who recognises this lovely girl who stopped by to say 'Hello'? A bit of a clue, Sarah (was Sasha Pepper) dragged her mum Rachel over to have a sniff of her old friend.... Yep - our purple hatted lady, Froggy Another favourite girlie came to say Hi, and I'm hoping Caz got some piccies Who remembers Indie? She is looking amazing, and happy and waggy, and was loving the dog-fest day out The Human Fruit Machine had an outing, lots of 'oooohhs' and 'ahhhhhs' and a few 'yey's!!!!!!!! Thanks to Bern & Caz DD, and Caz who kept the crowds enthralled Lisa came 'en famille' and ran Barks & Spencers Coat and Accessory Outfitters with the help of Caz - who trebled up today, also overseeing the gambling den of iniquity that is the Cuddly Toy Tombola and I owe a personal debt of thanks to Lisa's OH, who dogsat for me all day, and gave Bas the bestest day out Rach and Kate and Rhian set up miles away from us, and I'm hoping that they got some pics of their stalls, which looked magnificent, and added a touch of class to Friends presence Our 'Vol of the Day' award has to go to Ellie, who was up at the crack of mid-morning, (well, I'm not known for my early starts), loaded up at the store, transported the Friends emporium to Barry, set up the stalls, and just as she was about to sit and enjoy the show, was whisked off to the kitchen to serve the multitudes. I know for a fact Ellie didn't get a minute to spit, yet she hung on till the last to pack away and bring back what was left of our stock to the store. Thanks Ellie, you really were a trooper today Thank you sooooo much to the Victoria Park Committee for inviting Friends, and putting on a very special 'bash' It really was a lovely day out, and we made a magnificent £284.00
(excluding raffle ticket sales), which is a testament to everyone's hard work today

It was a great afternoon out - fab weather, lots of lovely people buying dog coats and having a try at the cuddly toy tombola. Amazing work by Ellie at snacks and refreshments and Rach, Kate, Ian, John and Rhian at Crafty Club stall.

What a lovely day! We found ourselves a great spot right by the entrance and set up our craft stall and yet more car booty - yes folks - any opportunity to shift it and it's on a table as quick as a flash. Kate, Rhian and I were ably aided and abetted by Ian and John, Mave, Sarah and Poppy. Mid way through the afternoon there was a touching reunion between two old gals, Froggy (now Dolly) and Sasha Pepper (now Sarah) They went on several walks together from the Home, were great friends and are now both giving their new owners indecent amounts of love and affection. The craft stall and booty stall raised over 100 quid - many thanks to the lovely lady who bought a shed load of stuff for her granddaughters' new home. It was great to meet you Gill - knitter extraordinaire- we've finally been able to put a face to a name and thanks for all your crafty support. Thanks also to the lady who is a dog walker and who has offered to make cards to sell for the Kennel fund. I didn't catch your name but please keep in touch and bring your cards along. Barry Show Hot Dogs - best junk food so far this year
