Gareth is working late but we'll try to wangle our way around the back roads to avoid "the torch" etc.

It's only Newport Rd, St. Mary Street and Lower Cathedral Rd that's affected. All roads should reopen by 7pm (that's the plan!) Hope to see you later Connie.

I really enjoyed it ;D It was lovely to hear contributions from so many people Special mention to Katie, who started the evening off with a lovely powerpoint presentation of our dogs and who was our first speaker of the evening. Venue was perfect - well done Anita, and massive thanks to Chapter Arts Ahhhh Carol, there was a fair bit of celebratory squiffdom by the end of the night eh?

Yeh ;D I didn't walk home , it was more of a wobble home Thank goodness Caz DD can hold her booze and kept me nearly in a straight line. A halfway stop at Chicken Kitchen was very welcome.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Friends evening at Chapter. It was great to meet up with people in a relaxed, chatty atmosphere and Chapter was a perfect venue. Thanks Anita for organising that and for doing the projector on the night! Thanks too to Lynne for making the name badges which helped us to know who was who ! Thanks to Katie for her presentation on the dogs at CDH, Lynne for talking about the Snoop Loop, Denise and the Munch Bunch, Cheryl for the Walkers, Shelley for the Social Media slot, Emma for the Crafty gang and Kate for the Funrunners. A massive thanks to Susie for making all the information sheets and for filling in all the gaps with lots of background info and giving us a great presentation on the Sensory Garden with Lucee's help on the flora and fauna side of things. There were lots of questions, masses of enthusiasm and offers of practical help to get this wonderful project off the ground. We had suggestions of how we can beg, borrow and commandeer the necessaries like pallets, machinery and paint etc etc which will help us complete the garden and cut costs where possible. Many, many thanks to people like the Funrunners who have raised/ donated money specifically for the Garden project. Watch the Sensory Garden thread folks because it's going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all who made the evening happen, who contributed and, like myself and Bern, who came along - it was great. I think everyone in particular is very excited by the sensory garden project.
