Free Fun Dog Show @ Out of the Woods FestivalSunday 21 August, Coopers Field, Bute ParkEvent time: 10.30am-4.30pm Venue: Coopers Field, Bute Park FREE entrance and all activities free
This is the annual woodland event for all the family organised by Cardiff Parks Department. It features woodland arts and crafts, nature trails, paddling your own coracle, free fun dog show and many other fun activities. Locally crafted products will also be available and as an added bonus, you can enjoy a leisurely homemade treat at the Hardwood Café. Free Fun Dog Show - judging from 12.30pm.For dog show - No registration needed as its free so join in as many classes as you want - just go into the ring when the class you’re interested in is called. All dogs welcome to join in. Among all the out of the woods activities we will have our dog event all day with dog show itself in middle of the day - event will also include a few rescue stalls, Friends of Cardiff Dogs Home, SARDA and dog warden and his team who will also be microchipping for free (courtesy of Cardiff Council). 12 Classes, including Best puppy, Best rescue, Waggiest tail, Best trick (X-factor for dogs so start practising now!) Hi - will dig out all the details re directions in and where to park (all vehicles have to be taken offsite) - I'm running this small dog event which is part of the out of the woods festival run by Parks but I'm running the dog show for them and collating stalls for this section - setup needs to be before 10.30am

AS from tomorrow there are only five days until the event!! yes only five. First event so lets make it good and that will be encouragement for the future events. Who is heading this up? What is needed? What needs doing??

Whoever's heading this up please PM me and I'll send them my contact details plus the instructions re setting up - all has to be done and dusted by 10.30 (I'll be there by about 9.30ish). I need to ask re selling cakes etc as Parks do their own refreshments and it is their event + I know Nicky puts into the 'hardwood cafe'. Tombolas are fine though.

Penny, I think it must be me I've pm'd you. I think we can scrape a tombola together, and fingers crossed for the cakes! Homemade doggy treats sounds good Will update this as thread as soon as possible with what we can bring.

er, bit of board maintenance going on at the mo. Penny, you can pick up your pm's from the forum stats on the info centre at the bottom of the forum. eta - we've put a temporary link to messages on the functions menu at the top - next to the logout button Normal service will resume as soon as possible
