I'd love to help with walking the dogs, how does it work? Do you choose a dog? Get allocated one? Can you do it the same day? How often can you walk the dogs?

Hi there, you need to be a registered walker to walk the dogs. We have been holding these on the last Sunday of each month but Im not certain of the arrangements for one in December at the moment. You would need to complete the online registration form first (this can be found here ) and then come along to the next induction. You can request a dog to walk but if that dog has already had a couple of walks that day and others haven't had any, you may be asked by the staff to walk an unwalked dog instead to ensure all dogs get walked You can walk as often as you like!! We do ask for a commitment of 2 hours per week but these can be walked at times to suit you. Walking times are 8am til 3.45 every day. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions just ask away!

Hi Faramondo. There are no applications for adoption taken online I'm afraid. This website is ran by volunteers. You need to go to Cardiff Dogs Home and personally complete an application form. This will give you the opportunity to meet the dog with any family members and existing pets and discuss with the staff. The staff will take upto three applications per dog and choose the most suitable home. Good luck
