Hi everyone
Just to let you know we came and got Scout this morning.... Weather lovely clear roads ! A success!! Scout and Ellie getting on fine - she's even tolerating the constant attention to her bottom ;-) hopefully he will get bored of it soon! Took him for 2hr walk around his new neighbourhood town and country , met a few doggies on the way - very sweet with all of them ! Considering he is in a strange environment (he's asleep in a warm comfy fleecey orthopaedic bed at the moment it's been a busy day) he is settling in remarkably well - it's only been a short time but I think he will be fine. Took him to my vet (my work) and he was very happy there - had a mini check up - my vet thinks he is nearer 7/8 yrs, so older than we think. So pleased he likes us! Thank you all for your kind comments in lead up to his rescue with us! I will keep you posted! Scout says "thank you all for taking care of me and taking me on my lovely walks" . Continue your amazing work there and I hope the doggies there get their forever homes very soon! Xxxxx

We were deeply saddened to hear that Ben (was Scout) has left his darling family for Rainbow Bridge. Tracey emailed us... Ben was just adorable and loved by us so very much and we are so glad to he got to spend his precious years with us! He went on holidays to Ireland, Lake District, Yorkshire and spent days on the beach when visiting our mums in Sussex! Absolute joy from the moment he got home with us! Were in pieces here but know his free from further suffering - his kidney disease had really taken it's toll by the weekend and we didn't want him to suffer, he'd stopped eating and was struggling to walk and was very very weak. We still would love to know who had him before and his background and what led him to be this beautifully behaved fearless gentle soul. We will never know . Truly he was such a good dog.Rest easy Ben, sleep peacefully with our beloved bridge babies sweetheart
