Boxer cross (brindle), neutered, 3 years old Kia is a very active and affectionate girl. She came into the dogs home with her brother who was lucky enough to be re-homed (many months ago). Poor Kia is one of the longest residents now and as much as the staff here love her, we are desperate to see her go to a loving new home of her own! Kia loves going for walks and she loves to play with toys. We feel that she would benefit from an active lifestyle and a home with no young children. All Kia needs is the chance to be loved and cared for by a person/family that she can call her own – she will bring a lot of joy and laughter to her new home.

Poor Kia is still looking for her own sofa, and is Friends' *DOG OF THE WEEK*She really deserves a loving family, this is what the Home staff say about her... Her eyes are big and brown and you could drown in them Someone is going to be very lucky - she really is a fabulous girl

Poor Kia is THE LONGEST RESIDENT (8 months) Surely somebody out there loves that little face - it would be fantastic if she head her own home in time for Christmas

Still in love with Kia , and we really wanted to bring her home but they said she showed too much interest in our cat. Am wondering about having another try as maybe it was the first time she'd seen a cat in a box ! Caz

Hi Caz. I'm a bit confused. Did you take your cat to the dogs home to meet Kia?

Yes , brought my cat down in his carrier and Kia was transfixed. Not growling or agitated just transfixed! I wanted to bring her home and see how she re-acted as I have 4 but wasn't allowed! I know you have to be careful with people /dogs in your care but it seems such a shame as I didn't want to write her off! It would definitely be a good idea to have cats around the dogs home! Haven't been back since as apparently none of the other dogs were suitable for a cat owner either, and it's not fair on my cat to bring it down every weekend to see one dog at a time. Still looking and heartbreaking to see Kia still there.

Thanks Caz, I know you tried your hardest, but there is always a dog destined to be with you, and I'm so chuffed for Sadie. Kia really is a lovely girl. I don't understand why she wasn't snapped up, but I'm so pleased she's been given a second chance. She sooooo deserves it.
Good luck Kia, I know someone will see how beautiful you are, and will be blessed to have you as part of their family.
