OK peeps - this is on the very near horizon - time to get busy ;D The South Wales Dog Charity Fun Day is our main event of the year! We raised bucketloads of money on the day last year, plus Friends were awarded a fabulous £2500 from the show proceeds, which went straight into the Sensory Garden Fund. Without that mahoosive cash injection, we could still be fundraising every other weekend and still not be there yet, so if you care about the welfare and wellbeing of our dogs, please put your hand up for a few hours of vol time. That will leave you and your family with a good part of the day to enjoy the proceedings, and there's loads going on! Have a look at the website to see what tickles your fancy Fonmon ShowIf you can spare a few hours to help on the Friends stall & events, or with general duties, please let us know. Dogs/children/aunts/uncles/friends/relatives/workmates are obligatory - it would be a waste not to bring 'em ;D There's going to be so much to see and do, doggy and non doggy, so don't feel it isn't for you if you don't have your own four-legged friend. The organisers have done an amazing job on the publicity side, the event has been advertised nationally, and you *may* have noticed a few flyers around and about, but we need to get these into every corner of Cardiff and the environs. For FB'ers, please join the event on our Facebook page and invite everyone you know. EventWe also have a healthy pile of flyers for local distribution, please pm me or post here if you can put some up in your local vets, supermarkets, library, community centre, shops, workplace etc. Friends is not a business, we have no paid workers, most of us have a life full of other commitments, but if you care about our dogs, there is something you can do to help. Even if you can't come on the day, you can be a part of it. If you want to say 'I did something to help the strays of South Wales' please let us know what you are able to do. We need help with transporting, selling raffle tickets (on or before the day), setting up, stall minding, general factotum duties, doggy dash, sausage catching, dog minding, ring marshalling, packing and clearing up..... If you want to see how much fun you can have doing a good thing for strays, check out last years event HEREPics from the Doggy Dash last year.....

Seats are out of the car so have space for transportation. Please book me on my favourite job --Doggie Dash.
Think we could try it like Victoria Park did theirs--- 1 person taking the money and 2 at other end timing and booking.
Need people for relief duties, It's a long day on that track otherwise

And maybe the tombola stock (which takes up a fair bit of room, but is very light)? Re transport, the lovely peeps at Victoria Park have said we can borrow 6 of their flatpack tables. We need to collect these on Friday after 4 o'clock from Barry - if anyone can help with these please let me know.
