Had a fab walk today with Sid, and as ever he was as good as gold!! We bumped into a Friends volunteer out walking her own dog, the boys said their polite hellos to each other so we walked for a while with them. Sid showed really good manners around him ;D Sid is getting absolutely desperate now for his own home. He is so unhappy in kennels, but such a happy boy on his walks and playing in the Garden. I really don't know what more anyone could want from a dog......he is handsome, he is affectionate, he is gentle with his treats, he is bombproof on walks, and he is SOOOO much fun. I flippin love this boy Gis an home! Did she mention how happy I am outside my kennel?? I wouldn't take up that much room when I lay on the sofa - honest!!! Imagine the kisses my lovely chops could give you!!! Me and my new BFF Bas!!

The Home don't have an exact age for Sid as he was picked up as a stray but he is a youngster - probably around 18 - 24 months old x

sexy sid sidney is such a funny loving boy who is very well behaved when on a walk with the right commands. He is responding well to "walk nice" followed by good boy. he does take a few attempts to catch on but after a few trys he switches on. he loves the garden and runs round like a lost sheep.. He has the sweetest bark and his face will melt your heart when he looks at you with his big brown eyes... he a stunner and needs his own sofa and human to snuggle up on...

Met this funny lad yesterday for the first time, and he made me laugh a lot. First off he punctured his ball, which made life very hard for me, as I then had no chance of getting the ball off him. He carried it around the garden ;D He also has one of the funniest barks I've heard to date, and used it to torment me over and over. Couldn't catch him for toffee, he'd roll on his back and let me get close and then he'd do a runner. I understand he really doesn't give a good account of himself in his kennel, but I didn't get that at all. Hope someone can find it their hearts to give this young lad a chance. With training and lots of love and attention, I think Sid could be perfect. x

I spent a couple of hours with sexy Sid on the weekend, I just love this boy!! We had a good play in the garden for half an hour and then out for a long stroll (which he just LOVES!) His favourite game is fetch and he does a perfect drop when he brings the ball back Sid absolutely breaks my heart when I see him in his kennel as he is just a totally different dog to when he is outside He is full of fun and love and he really is a laugh a minute Staff member Becky told me they have been using the command "walk nice" with Sid on his walks and he has clearly grasped it. Okay, this isn't the best photo in the world but it show the loose lead which I had for my walk with him. He is such a clever boy, I just know that with regular walks in his forever home, he would be doing this all the time.

My husband is on leave the week beginning 15th July so if SID is still there I am hoping to bring my chocolate labrador CASPER to meet him with the view to adopting SID if they are ok together. Casper is a big softy, with a heart so big I'm surprised it doesn't burst. Hopefully SID will love him as much as we do. They would make a great pair. We have a very secure, enclosed garden, with 5ft walls and live right by Porthkerry Country Park, so be great for walks for SID too. I am keeping everything crossed that he will still be there and all goes well with Casper :-)
