I realised the noise I was hearing was being made by Twizzle, a contented little grunt, she had her chin resting in my daughter,s boyfriend,s hands and he was massaging her temples wit his thumbs......She was in doggy bliss!!!

Twizz, Sarah, Carol and I all went for a walk today up the Garth mountain. Twizzle and Sarah got on perfectly together. They walked along companionably having the occasional sniff. Here is the film! View My Videoand another one ;D View My VideoFour girls went up a hill and came down a mountain Rach

Just to add, the grandchildren called in today (ages 2 and 3) and Twizz for the most part just got on with doing as she normally does....lounging on the sofa and generally mooching about....except when a sausageless roll on a plate was left on the floor by a totally trusting child. ENTER the stealth missile! from sofa to food to sofa with barely a crumb dropped!! or in this case the sausegless roll!!!

Twizzle had a fab Christmas and look what santa (with a little help from my daughters)brought her!!! although by the time I took these some bits n bobs had disappeared Also some Big News......I came out of the shower room yesterday and this morning to find Twiz lying quietly on the landing Now this might not seem extraordinary to most people but if I tell you that we are, at the moment, housing 2 guinea pigs on the landing in the indoor cage and the first few times Twizzle saw them she jumped on the kitchen table to try and get them, she actually opened the cage once and used to bark like a wild thing if they were even mentioned!!!! I don't think she will ever be 'the dog with the guinea pigs on her back' in the pic on facebook but she definitely takes notice of what she is being told ;D Twizzle is a dog who loves to snuggle on the sofa and has been comfortable in the 'chaos' of my Christmas house. I had 4 daughters, assorted BFs, 2 grand daughters (age 3 and 4) and my mum here, not forgetting the guineas!! She seems to benefit from a 40/60 min walk in the morning and at least 20 mins late afternoon or evening and even enjoys a jog! She wants to chase cats and sheep but seems mostly to want to pretend horses aren't there. Twizzle stays on her own while I am in work and doesn't chew or break anything...the tree and all the presents have been here inc. shoes, slippers, cuddly toys etc etc......but she will give in to temptation if food is left within reach Twizzle does bark at things, usually if she's not sure or a bit nervous for instance we met the Boxing Day walk, loads of people and assorted dogs, so we stopped to wait and the mix of people, dogs, and stopping had her barking but as soon as we found a gap to slip into she was fine and we joined the walk for about a mile!! She is much calmer than she was in the kennels but who can blame her? If you are interested in re-homing Twizzle please come and see her You can get my number from Susie (baglady) or pm my on this forum xx

Hello Cuddlymum.....Twizzle has only seen cats from a distance while she's been staying with me and doesn't seem keen. She `puts up`with our guinea pigs but they are caged and never alone with her. If you want to introduce a cat to her you can get in touch with Susie (Bag lady) or dm me here x

Well......Twizzle has made her peace with the resident small furries here...... Also....we went up the Garth this morning and halfway up with no dogs, humans, sheep, rabbits, cats, etc etc, in sight, I, with much soul searching and mega stress levels, (and the Welsh predisposition to exaggeration) let Twiz off the lead She shot off like a rocket and had a lovely, if short run around and sniff about and most importantly, CAME BACK, ;D Another box ticked for recall on an empty mountain!!
