Well........... I must give my utmost thanks to Twizzle for giving me a lovely 'Fenton moment' today at the home (note to self, in future make sure the lead is actually attached to the collar!!) Anyhooo....after saying her hellos an generally taking the limelight for a while we proceeded to walk out with Cooper, Fudge and Stitch. Twizzle was very well behaved and walked along with boys beautifully.S she got a little bit 'barky' at times mostly when we stopped and talked for too long also when she met the gorgeous Simon (were they playing hard to get?) When I went into the home to see the dogs and while I was taking the walked dogs back to the kennel Twizzle was quite happy to sit on the back seat of the car and wait so patiently for me. I can say she really enjoyed her day out walking and has spent the evening fast asleep!!

Twizz is booked in for a little op this morning and probably won't be well enough to go tomorrow. She has been 'nil by snout' since 6 last night and she doesn't like getting up earlier than 8.00 am.....see

Thanks everyone!! Twizz had her wound checked at the home today and all was fine. The trip in the car was a lot less fraught than the one to the vet on Saturday so she seems to be on the mend. Just one thing...... I have the house to myself, an empty arm chair, an empty 2 seater and the 3 seater sofa is all mine or is it??? I am, in fact. squashed in the corner with barely any elbow room to type this........why...??

Those pictures of Twizzle and Henry Cooper snuggled up together are priceless. Let's hope they show someone how loving she can be and how much she'd adore a home to call her own. Lots of love Twizzle. I'm sure the right people are out there, they just haven't found you yet. xxx

Twizzle popped to the Home over the weekend just to check in and say hello with a special request to try out the Sensory Garden ;D Twiz absolutely LOVED it in there!!! This girl has soooo much energy and just loves to run around at full pelt. The old injury to her shoulder doesn't bother her in the slightest and certainly doesn't slow her down! This water baby found a whole new use for the sand pit, which is currently full of rain water Twizzle thought it would be better used as a paddling pool Twiz also loved playing with the ball and enjoyed a good game of tug! Carol filled us in on Twizzle's progress.....she is getting along brilliantly with Carols resident dog (as you can see from previous pictures!), she is housetrained and well behaved in the house, will tolerate the guinea pigs (as long as they are caged!) is gentle around Carol's grandchildren, and just loves her walks!! Twizzle is CDH's longest resident and we would just love to see her in her own forever home

I've kept up with her tales from the start and really hope she finds her forever sofa very, very soon. She is sooo my sort of dog, and the only thing stopping me is living in a 3-storey house with steep steps down to the garden. She'd probably cope, but I'd be scared of her falling. My problem, not hers Staffs are amazing dogs, incredibly resilient - as Twizzle has shown - fantastically loyal and just pure fun to be around. I love her to bits, but my home is not the right one for her. She really is gorgeous and I hope someone sees that in her from all the photos and great write-ups

Having walked Twiz a few times I can hand on heart say I dont think garden steps wpuld pose any sort of problem for this girl. She is stronger and more agile than my 3 JRT's put together ;D
If that is the only thing stopping you, Im sure Carol could bring Twiz for a visit to see how she would deal with the steps? x
