Hi Just thought i'd send a progress report. Patch is doing really well. He has been to the vet today for a bit of an MOT and prescription for his Metacam. Vet was lovely said he was doing really well. He has to have some drops for his eyes as they are a bit gunky at the moment because he eyelids are a bit droopy. But apart from that he's an absolute joy and we love him to bits. Thanks again to eveyone at the home. :-*Xxxx

He's doing really well & starting to get into a routine. Still can't get him to drink a lot tho.
He spends most of his time napping on his bed, but enjoys his walks to school to pick up the children.
We all love him especially the little ones who give him cwtch as often as possible which he he laps up.

Hello Schapp
I'm really delighted to see Patch looking so contented. I had the chance to make a bit of a fuss of him when he was in the office at CDH and what a little gentleman he is. He loved his soft toys too. I think they give the dogs a bit of comfort.
On the point of him not drinking much, it might be worth you buying him a drink called Oralade. They sell it at Park Vets in Sanatorium Road in Cardiff but I suspect you can get it from other vets too. My elderly terrier sometimes has to be coaxed to drink and if I add this to her water or, as happens sometimes, let her drink it neat, she absolutely laps it up.
Might be worth trying anyway
Good Luck and send him loads of love

Thanks for the advice ill keep my eye open for that. Been a bit worried about him today. He's been pacing a lot and panting a lot which is very much unlike him. He usually sleeps for most of the day. He's been out for walks and is eating really well just won't settle. Think a vet trip maybe in order tomorrow
