Kyegirl fab idea! This dog has got totally under my skin and I can't bear the idea of her spending long without a comfy sofa.

Do we know how old she is then? You're all talking like she's an OAP. ;D

Amy from Oldies posts on this forum.
Would it be worth seeing if an Oldies foster home could be found with a view to fail?
I know CDH generally don't foster.

When you meet her she will melt you, we didn't make it to the top of the lane but we did a lot of sniffing and chatting, this is not a dog to take on a power walk!!! Although by sounds of it kyegirl also took her out today so maybe she was done with walking and just pleased to be out when I took her. I think enquires are been/ have been made to oldies about her.. But ith 7 days not up yet these things take time...Fingers crossed for her...

I'll take her out in my lunch break tomorrow for a gentle stroll, chat and some soft treats.

When I enquired about changing my 9 year old over to pet plan they would do basic insurance no probs but just wouldn't do the 'lifetime' brand of extended cover. Not sure if this is same at 16 but tbh wouldn't be a big deal for a 16 year old not to have lifetime as I don't imagine illness requiring major treatment continuing for many years...

Quite a few of the insurance companies are happy to insure oldie dogs (I know because I'd like an oldie myself, so I've trawled!), but you do have to be prepared for the premium to be bumped up each year.

Kate, That would be amazing if it could be sorted. I think you need amy to answer questions on fostering though... If indeed the oldies club have any space for her. Tbh I had never met a dog older than 11 before and he looked just as old as she does, the warden seemed quite sure of her age though.
