It really was a fab day! Jen was sooooo on the ball with the photos (very organiszed) and I have to say it was a great laugh from beginning to end.
All the dogs and their owners were really friendly and got right into the spirit of things! I would be up for the St Mellons venue again if Saturday was anything to go by!
John did very well after being thrown in the deep end and as always all the 'Friends' worked hard in the pouring rain to raise funds for the dogs who are the reason for us all being there.
Susie was the glue holding it all together as usual! She is like the head of a big strange family!!??!
Good job everyone and apologies for my lack of marquee disembling etiquette....I should really stick to throwing sausages!

Had a good time at the show despite the rain - the Toy Tombola seemed quite popular with the kids and I got to meet a few of the lovely dogs... and enter the raffle ;D
Happy to help in any way I can with future events - I used to do face painting too so have some kit if you need anything like that doing (not in the rain!).

Ahhhhh, it really was lovely day, and we were so lucky that the brolly call didn't come until towards the end of the show Thanks so much to everyone, you guys really know how to put on show This picture pretty much sums up the day for me So many happy and well behaved dogs, so many smiles, a real feeling of warmth and community, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve ;D Lynda took over 400 photo's on the day, the pics are a testament to all the hard work and preparation everyone put in ALBUMOur brand spanking new gazebo is the biz! So many people to thank, all our sponsors, and the very generous individuals and local businesses who supported the show. But the biggest thanks of all is to you guys, our amazing vols who give so much, you sacrifice time with your own families, your own dogs, you somehow find the time and energy in your busy lives to turn out time after time to help our dogs, and I bows in presence, you really, really are the Best Friends in the world to our homeless strays. Take a bow, take a pat on the back, and yes, let's get that Barbie going is it? I think Becky has some sausages in the freezer, and guys - Kathleen won the Hair of the Dog Raffle Prize That sounds like a ready made party to me

Well the sausages are all already cut into Sausage Catching size, but if we put them on cocktail sticks they would make amazing aperitifs ;D

It's still safe and intact at the moment I'm so happy Kathleen won this. She has spent hours making the MOST beautiful hand drawn cards for us to sell. They are very special and each one is a work of art, so there is no way we are going to be selling them for anything less than they are worth. I'll be posting up pics soon.

Just wanted to do a bit of a song and dance about Julie Snugglepuff's hours of labour creating so many beautiful handcrafted items for us to sell on our stall at St. Mellons. Julie has become a cottage industry churning out bandanas, knitted coats, bags, mats and treat jars at the rate of knots for us to sell to raise money for the kennel fund. If you have any funky material or spare knitting wool that you would like turned into something beautiful please bring it along to the next Last Sunday, and we will get it to our crafting genius.
