Well, as usual the dogs did us proud!! Luke and Dandy did the first shift Followed by the main men, Bruce, Tyson and Pablo!! Bruce looked very dapper in his handmade Christmas scarf (thanks Rach As did Pablo And a Meet & Greet wouldn't be the same without Smudgey Morris ;D Massive thanks to everyone who helped out at base camp and those who walked the dogs over to say hello to their public. We have had great rehoming success in the past through the Meet & Greets so lets have everything crossed for Lukey, Dandy, Bruce, Tyson and Pablo - good luck boys!!!

The dogs were really well behaved yesterday and loved meeting lots of new people. I had Luke and he was amazing. He was so well mannered, he loved the fuss and wanted to cwtch into everyone who came to say hi to him. Quite a lot of dogs approached him too and he was great with them. I was a little uneasy at first when dogs were coming up to him as susie had said to keep the dogs apart, but how do we stop people putting their dogs in front of ours. Any advice on this from experienced meeters and greeters gratefully received. Most people approached the dogs in a sensible way but I did have one crazy man come up to Luke and give him a fuss which was fine until he started putting his hand in his mouth in a mad way. I had to tell him to stop, crazily enough the guy then asked me why. I then had to explain to him that these were rescue dogs with no background and you shouldn't be doing this to any dog and that it is teaching the dog that it's ok to have someones hand in their mouth. It could lead to a bite or a misinterpreted potential bite. The man said he was "just seeing what the dog was like". Adam and I couldn't believe it. So meeters & greeters beware - not all the general public are sensible, take care of your little furbaby out there I managed to get some pics. The lovely Luke Santa's little helper.
