We have emailed all the schools in the Vale and Cardiff with a poster attached. It has been put on the Vale intrenet. I've either postered or flyered or both local Post Offices, doctors surgeries, play groups, cafes, take aways, shops, Aqua Dogs, vets, STAR Leisure centre, schools parks and lampposts!
I have also given flyers and posters to people in my training classes and they promised to put up posters in work etc.
I will send a group email today to my previous clients also.
Latichia, my social media guru is also doing her bit.
Hopefully this will help!
I have a couple of mascots attending for an hour, I think 1-2pm Christmas Micky and Minnie Mouse. I thought any children would like these but I hope they don't freak the dogs out but I will speak with the mascot people and ask that they don't approach people with dogs! Children could have their photos taken with them for free as I have already paid for them.
I have spoken/emailed local PCSO and a couple of them have agreed to attend at least part of the show.
Those needing to set up can do so from Sunday 9am by entering the children's entrance at the top of Mervyn Rd. All vehicles must be then removed and parked in the teachers car park accessed by Willows Avenue by 10.30am as we can't have vehicles moving when people are arriving.
:)Hi all, I'll be there on Saturday around 12.30, should be able to give you a few hrs of my time, just wondering if you all have managed to tell allot of people to bring their children as that's how we'll get more money for Cardiff dogs home as kids go mad for the balloon creations, I've added a page to my website for the event so hoping this may bring more people to the show.. www.sunflower-ents.co.uk
I really hope that tomorrow is a success and raises lots of awareness and cash for the dogs, as I know how hard you all work.
There has been a fairly substantial outlay to arrange this event with the display team, venue, flyers, rosettes, mascots and decorations for the grotto (which Teichy and I did last night). It has cost over £650. I know that Friends wouldn't spend money they had fundraised like this but I'm hoping that it will generate more people to attend and if it doesn't I hope everyone has a good day!
We only have a few trade stands as everyone is already committed but there should be plenty of goodies on offer!
Latichia secured the prizes for the dog show from Fish4Dogs and made up the goody bags, there is one for 1st to 3rd place and several spares. There is a additional bag of Feelwells Adult treats for all 2nd place winners and a bag of Feelwells Benefits Goodnight for 3rd place winners. There is also a Best In Show and Reserve Best In Show large goody bag.
