Whisper hello to Max Max has only just come into CDH and hasn't had his vaccinations yet so couldn't come out to play. He was extremely friendly and followed me around his pen as I tried to take photo's. When I sat down with him he gave me lots of gentle kisses all he seemed to want to do was stay close and have a cuddle, he is such a softie. He does a lovely sit, but likes to do this as close to you as he can. Max is extremely underweight at the moment and looks like he needs a good groom, but the staff are already on a mission to bulk this guy up and I'm sure he will be looking better in no time ;D Max is available for rehoming from 09/07/13, if you'd like to know more please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. eta: Max has now moved to the main kennel block, and has taken up residence in kennel 8

It breaks my heart to see such a loving animal so badly neglected, thank goodness he is in good hands now. Keeping everything crossed that he finds a loving new home as my other half has told me to resist the urge to see if Nina would like a brother......looking forward to seeing pics of him becoming healthy and loved again x

Ian took Max for a quick walk on Saturday so I tagged along and Oh my word this boy is an absolute cracker! I fell in love within 5 minutes (although its not to hard for me to fall for a Rottie ;D). He has such a beautiful face and once he's back to his proper weight he is going to be a very stunning lad, as Becky said above 'tall dark & handsome!'. He is so easy to walk, just walks by your side with a slack lead. You would think he might be a bit hasty when taking treats due to his past, but no, he will sit & wait & is as gentle as a lamb. I have to say I am smitten with Max!

If Max is still there on the weekend I can see us having to put names in a hat to see who gets to walk him ;D
