Feel the need to reiterate how BEAUTIFUL this boy is. If I had met him PF (pre- Freddie) he would be ours!!!! A truly stunning dog who has been fed up to a nice weight by the staff which adds to his gorgeous face and silky fur for an overall wow factor!!! Really cannot understand why he is still there? ??

Nice to see that lovely boy Max has put a few pounds back on. He's looking and seeming much happier and healthier! He comes out of his kennel nice and calm, ready to trot off on his walk. He's a strong boy but walks nicely. He's got a long body and big Rottie head. He reminds me of a lion, the way he saunters along! That head of his likes to find it's way in to your hand for a little bit of love as he's on his travels . He loves to sniff out the goings on and take in all the surroundings. He's interested in other dogs when out and about but seems to respond well to instruction. He also knows his sit and paw. Walking him when he had just come in, he had clearly had a hard time this one. He was a bag of bones. He's getting back into his stride now though and he's such a lovely Rottie, a pleasure to walk and such a handsome face... just look!

I am a bit naughty and had neglected Max up until this point. He's next to Mischief you see so I had bypassed Max a bit. Today I was given permission to feed a treat to each of the dogs and now I'm a bit in love with Max too! He's really very handsome isn't he?! I can't believe the pictures at the start of this thread are of the same boy! He was very gentle taking his treat and did a lovely sit for me ;D I think I am going to have to spend a bit more time with this boy!

My sons and I took the wonderful Max out for a stroll this morning. He is so handsome and really long! First thing he did was have an enormous wee which indicates to me that he is house trained as he must have been hanging on for ages! He walks really well on the lead, the only time he pulled was when he found a smell he liked and wanted to check it out. He loves his treats and is very gentle taking them and does a lovely sit and paw. He enjoyed lots of fuss and cuddles and happily lay down in the shade for a chill out. We took him over to Costa to get a drink and I was really sad to see how many people avoided coming near him, they must have prejudices against the breed He is a wonderful boy and I really hope he finds his forever family soon.

Despite the weather not being too great yesterday,Max and i went on a lovely stroll. He didnt pull he strides it out a bit and he loves a good sniff, very attentive and hes like a big cuddly bear. That was the first time i,ve took a rottie out and if there all as lovely as this boy then i dont see where the prejudice comes from. Hope someone has got some room for him as the transformation in this dog is amazing.

There no such thing as a bad dog but bad owners. I must confess being a mum some breads are off putting because you don't know their pasts but with the right owner and training you can fix most bad habits dogs get into)

I had the absolute pleasure of Max's company for a small stroll yesterday afternoon. He's an absolute gem. He doesnt pull unless he decides he needs to have a good sniff (and boy is he a strong boy!) but otherwise he walks well on the lead and even checks to make sure you're still there.
What a gorgeous hunk! and he wasnt even that bothered by the treats i had but he did a fab sit when asked. <3

Last Sunday (29th Sept) I was lucky enough to get to go on a date with lovely Max! He is a big, beautiful boy who will provide one lucky home with lots of cuddles! I was seriously suprised at how well he walked on the lead, there was no pulling whatsoever. He was an absolute DREAM to take out and I can't wait to walk him again! He was a little interested in other dogs (no aggression just interest) but with a few encouraging words and a little distraction we were on our way. So, back to our date: Firstly Max took me to get some flowers (he really was a gentleman) Then we went and looked at some really cool wall art - He even took me to the pond where we sat down and had a drink of water Overall, I love this pooch and he really deserves a forever home to call his own <3

Walked Max again this morning, he plods along at your speed. Occasionally wandering across your path but with a few pulls and a short lead he soon got the idea. He is a big lump of a boy and didn't seen phased by much. He loved having his big head stroked, CDH have got him for & well and now he needs a sofa!
