Poor Rango, what an introduction on your thread title, but we might as well get it over and done with, you won't miss them... Meet Rango! Rango is the sweetest, friendliest innocent soul of an ABD I think I have ever encountered. Just happy to be around people. Rango had only had one vaccination when we were doing the updates and as a precaution we are only allowing dogs into the garden when they are 4 days clear of their first vac. However we want to get the dogs up for people to see so we took his pic in the vets room. Rango is available for rehoming from the 7th May and if you'd like to know more please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm

Rango is able to go out so we took full advantage of that today and had him in the garden for a bit of a get to know you session There is no denying that this boy really does have ears ;D He seems like a quiet lad who was just happy to be around people, he wasn't overly bothered by toys or treats, just pleased of some company I think! Rango was ever so gentle taking his treats, and really enjoyed a nice fuss. A lovely, sweet soul

he is sooo funny... he has not got a brain cell but his cuteness and ears really do make up for it. He walks well on the lead and his bum is always wagging... He is a big puppy.. who ever takes him will not be short on laughs and happy memories. you may need to make a large space on your sofa but i think what you get in return will be worth it.. ;D

Oh Rango, you are such a gem. Today was the first time I had walked Rango and was delighted to find what an easy walk we had. There was a bit of bouncing to begin, but after a few seconds (not even minutes) on a very short lead he settled down to a gentle walk with virtually no pulling at all. He doesn't seem to have learned "Sit" yet, but took his treats with the softest mouth. We met joggers, cycles, traffic and other dogs on our walk none of which bothered Rango at all. Just a big easy-going softy.

Yesterday Rango and I went for another nice wander. I popped him on the extension lead once were by the river, but might as well not have bothered as he never moved more than a couple of feet from my side. Today he came for a home visit as we couldn't have gone far in the glorious heat. Rango traveled well in the car, just laid down quietly in the back seat for the whole journey. Once in the house he was as good as gold and didn't get on any furniture until I invited him to join me - not that he has quite got the hang of sitting on the sofa ... Rango hardly left my side but did take a little time out to smell the roses.

Rango was such a good boy yesterday I decided he deserved a treat and took him over to Cosmeston Lakes this morning. As it was such a beautiful morning the place was buzzing with people, dogs, bikes and of course the resident birds and wildlife - Rango behaved impeccably with all of them. He particularly like paddling and found a few new friends to play with.... .. so for anyone wondering if he gets on with other dogs, the answer is YES!
