I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has tried this. Is it just for very nervous dogs, or is it useful for all dogs.

I haven't tried it, but I went to Aquadogs with Lexi this afternoon, and asked Angela what she thought. She said it could be brilliant for stressy dogs, she has seen it done, and has seen amazing results. I was looking for a TT practitioner in Wales a few years ago, there wasn't a registered practitioner, but I know that it's catching on and I'm pretty sure there is at least one now. Ang said she saw a dog having a session once, they do the whole body, and the practitioner got interrupted when she had only done one side of the dog. The dog got up and promptly fell over, because one side of it's body was totally relaxed and the other side wasn't. I really don't know much about it, but I would imagine that if there are therapeutic benefits, any dog could benefit from a session. I've had massages in the past, always felt like a million dollars afterwards.

Ooooh sounds interesting! When is it? Who is running it? Fudgie has had a lifetime of undiagnosed ailments, specifically sporadic limb paralysis, and we tried all the 'normal' therapies, including drugs, hydro, physiotherapy, etc but we also explored some 'alternative' routes. The most astounding for me was acupuncture, not necessarily in terms of healing, he has continued to have issues, but his response to the treatment was truly unexpected. He didn't just tolerate it (which I didn't think would happen anyway), but he seemed to go to a special place, so calm, so relaxed, I saw a totally different dog lying there with great big pins sticking out of his body, it really opened my mind to the power of non conventional interventions. I've always been open to alternative practices as adjuvant care for my own ailments, but as a human I was obviously bringing my own thoughts, aspirations for healing, etc into the mix. Dogs can't do that, so their responses are self evident and not affected by expectations, bias, or prior knowledge. Would be glad for more information Karen, I might join you
