Hi Sus
Hope you're well
I'm due to be working in London on 8th July - but I'm still waiting for it to be confirmed. I'll chase it this week and if that changes, I'd be delighted to come along as your bagman. I'll ;et you know asap
As has already been mentioned, if anyone can sell it, it's you. x

Oooooh Guys! We've just heard that we've also been shortlisted for Sainsbury's Whitchurch Road Local We have been invited to give a 10 minute presentation to their Charity Team on 4th July at 1 o'clock. It isn't in the bag folks, each store has shortlisted 3 charities, and their Charity Team will select their favourite as their Charity Partner, but I know we're up against some stiff competition, so please keep everything crossed Is anyone able to come and hold my hand at the presentation?

Jen came with me (thanks Jen ) I think it went OK Bottom line is though each store shortlists 3 charities, and they only select one. So two are going to be disappointed. I know we are up against Whizz Kids - they are massive! Their income for 2012 was £7.5 million, so it's possible their presentation was a little more polished than ours, but what we lack in glossy brochures and we make up for with passion eh Keeping our fingers crossed, we should know some time next week.

We don't spend our charity earnings on brochures, it all goes to the dogs :-)

Guys - guess what? We also got nominated and shortlisted by the QUEEN STREET SUPERSTORE - and we've been chosen as their Charity Partner of the Year Many thanks to Fran who came along to the presentation, and thanks also to Michele, and everyone who nominated us in the various stores Suzanne, Katie and Fay from Sainsbury's came to visit us on Friday, to have a look around, meet the dogs, and chat with some of our volunteer dogs walkers. Olaf was very proud to be part of the welcome committee! The team have certainly hit the ground running! They are sponsoring the Best Young Handler Class at our Summer Show, will be coming to help on the day, and are making a very generous donation in kind in lieu of the £25 class sponsorship donation - watch this space for further details! We're looking forward to seeing the team again next Friday when they come down to walk some of the dogs with us, and we hope to be working very closely together over the coming year to raise funds and awareness for our pooches. We will be organising some 'Meet & Greet as you Eat' 2 hour M&G's at the store, perfect for catching the lunchtime trade in Cardiff. We'll be holding these regularly, weekdays and weekends. Perfect for the dogs as it won't be too tiring for them, and great for vols who can only spare an hour or so. Friends are meeting up with the Great Place to Work Team again next week to chat about plans for the coming year, including putting up a Community Board in the store to showcase our dogs and promote events etc. What a fab result - thanks again to everyone who helped us with this, and a massive 'Thank You' to the fab team at Sainsbury's!
