Friends recently took part in the Support Adoption for Pets Fundraising drive. It was a fab opportunity for walkers and fundraisers to enjoy a stroll down the River with our dogs to our local Pets at Home store. And the really amazing news is that we have just picked up two cheques from Pets at Home in the staggering amount of........ *drumroll*......... We're really excited to be invited to their next Fundraising Drive Month in August, and will be having a Meet and Greet every Saturday through August, two at our local store in the Bay, and two at Newport Road. 9th August - The Bay 16th August - Newport Road 23rd August - The Bay 30th August - Newport Road The 30th is only in pencil atm, we have another Meet and Greet in Morrisons Newport Road, so will need 2 teams if we are going to cover both Morrisons and Pets at Home. For all our volunteer walkers, old and new, getting involved with promoting the dogs is one of the most rewarding ways to help them find their forever homes. You get to chat with potential rehomers, and every meet and greet we've ever done has resulted in someone hot-footing it down to the Home to fill in an application form. Please post up if you are able to join us on one or more of our August M&G's at Pets at Home

Thanks Sandra and Sirius We don't keep the dogs out for too long, it'll just be from 11.30 until 3.30 but peeps don't need to do the whole shift. If anyone wants to take a CDH dog, it's a nice stroll from the Home to the Bay, and I'll be around to transport when we do the Newport Road PAH.

Hiya Susie
Have we confirmed which Saturdays we are at The Bay and which we are at Newport Road?
Probably need to get a schedule up so that we know who is around to man the fort.

We always need people You can either head straight to Pets At Home (anytime from 11am) or if you prefer to walk over from CDH with a dog, just head down the Home first, collect a pooch and take a leisurely stroll over. Im not great with times and distances but I reckon at a steady pace it should take about 20 - 25 mins maybe (other vols who pay more attention to life in general may correct me here ) If you fancy a walk over with a dog and need directions just let me know!
