Hi, Vince and I said we would be there to help in the kitchens. What time would you like us to get there? Zoë Heya Zoe! We have a few vols from Victoria Park, and Babs in the kitchen, and Ricki and Rhys are taking turns on the barbeque, so we're wondering whether you would mind helping on the kiddies activities - bouncy, facepainting and balloon modelling? It will just be taking the money lol, you don't need to actually do the facepainting! If that's OK with you and Vince it would be a great help!

Hi, I can be there from 10.30 but need to leave at 2.30 if that's ok. Happy to go anywhere, float, whatever. Will have a small helper in tow so if we could do something that she can help me with, that would be great. Looking forward to it. Perfect Karen! Thanks so much We still need a good saleswoman on the raffle stall if you fancy it? The Raffle Table will be with the Staffie information stall, so you'll be rubbing shoulders with Maria & Sarah from CDH, Steve and our lovely new dog warden, Katie!

As a new member, I attended my first fundraising event by the Friends. I was bowled over by the support, from the very start of the day, setting up all the tables and areas, to the end of the day, putting the goods (far less goods) back in the van. It was so organised. I met some lovely Friends, putting faces to names I may see in the walker book. To think that the army of volunteers behind this whole event give up so much of their time for the dogs in Cardiff dogs home, is unbelievable and wonderful, as those dogs don't get to voice their opinions (other than showing their love in a wag of the tail). I was truly humbled by the experience. Watching Susie be everywhere and all the other purple hoodie wonders take action was amazing. So many people just couldn't stop putting their hands in their pockets for the dogs and I know Talia and Belinda enjoyed their outing. So, to sum up, from a newbies point of view, it went amazingly well.

Hello all, We paid a flying visit with Rocky (Patch) this afternoon and it looked to be going brilliantly and we picked up a few lovely little items as well. Only sorry we couldn't have stuck around for longer, but it was good to meet some of the volunteers who worked with (Patch) at the Home. I think he enjoyed meeting up with you again and letting everyone know he was there very vocally Well done all!
