Hope nobody minds me doing this but just wanted to alert everyone to the fact a lovely little Staffy was taken from outside Sainsbury's in Penarth last Friday (13th Feb)
Happily, the little girl has been found by police and re-united with her owner. Police had issued CCTV footage of the woman who they believe took the dog and, according to the 'Penarth Daily News' website, tracked the dog down to an address in Sophia Gardens.
I have a relative in the police who says they're advising people not to leave their dogs tied up outside shops etc if they can possibly help it, because there's a suspected dog fighting ring operating in the area. Unfortunately they will take dogs and cats to use as bait and other unspeakable things.
Obviously I'm not levelling that accusation here - as I have no proof - but I think it's worth passing the warning on nonetheless.

Just to be legally correct, I should say police issued a CCTV image of a female they wanted to speak to in connection with the dog's disappearance!

It's shocked me to the core, as I have left mine outside a few shops in Penarth as we walk as much as we can! Quite a few shops let the dogs in, and give them a treat in Penarth, they will be the only shops I will be frequenting if I have my dogs with me from now on. I woke up, wondering if the little Staffie had been found, I'm a bad dog owner, as never thought it would happen in my town
