Hello Friends,
We thought we'll come and say hello and introduce ourselves. My lovely Kara was originally from Cardiff Dogs Home, and as a puppy she was named Jenny (for anyone who might remember, although I'm not sure if she was named by the home or her first owner.
Unfortunately her first owner hadn't realised that "full of beans" is an understatement for this bouncy collie x lady ;D the older lady, who had first given her a home at age 3 months, didn't really have the time and energy required to make her a happy pooch, so she became very twitchy, hyperactive and chewed stuff. The lady was about to return her to the Dog's Home at age 5 months when her son (who is a friend of mine) got in touch with me because he had heard I was looking for a 4 legged companion. She came to me for a trial week and we've never looked back since. She is now 14 months and a clever, beautiful and well behaved girl.
She gets many long walks and off-lead runaround time, which she needs. She gets good food (no cheap rubbish) and has her own cozy chair.
She loves other doggies, people including kids, even loves the vets!! and probably fancies herself as the UN ambassador for dogs on Earth...
Her favourite toy is her glow-in-the-dark "disco ball" which changes colour every so often... but all balls get much love!!
Her biggest fans other than me would be my other half (a cross country runner and she loves a good shuffle!) and our three and a half-year old cat Maisie (originally from the cats Protection League).
We're looking forward to posting a bit more in future and hoping that we've worked out how to post photos....
Kara (was Jenny)
shnoozing....
