Isn't Doc just beautiful! You'd be forgiven if you thought I was posting picture of Mr Miyagi because these two look like twins. Doc is sadly a lot skinnier than Mr Miyagi and he is a little skin and bones at the moment, no problem for everyone at CDH - they know how to feed a dog up back to the ideal weight. Doc was found by the wardens and will be seeing the vet tomorrow for his initial check over, jabs (eek sorry Doc!) and getting aged. It's not secret he's an older gent, just look at that gorgeous white face. Doc was all about the love when we first got him into the vet room, he just couldn't get close enough to Becky. Doc wanted all the snuggles and was rushing between the two of us to make sure we didn't feel left out - Don't worry Doc, you spread your love around just right. If you could see this man with this orange ball, you would think he was a youngster. The inner pup really showed itself to us and this was a joy to watch. Doc showed off his best dribbling skills and even played with us showing great manners around toys. He took great comfort from the orange ball and only did he trade it in for a football, which he proudly showed off to the world on his toilet break. Doc clearly loves being around humans and even when he was sat chewing his ball Doc made sure that he was just close enough for Becky to carry on with those super leg scratches. Just after Doc's toilet break he came close by to a couple of dogs getting put back into their kennels. He showed no interest what so ever, he didn't even look twice, he seems a very steady boy. Despite being utterly gorgeous, an amazing dog to be around.. There is one EVEN BETTER thing about Doc... and that is his... As Doc is due his jabs tomorrow he should be allowed out for proper walks on Friday. Form an orderly queue everybody. Doc will be available from the 1st November for rehoming. If you would like more information on Doc please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm

It absolutely breaks my heart to have to tell you all that Doc is now at Rainbow Bridge . Doc really struggled to adjust to life at CDH and had started harming himself in his kennel over the past week. The staff kept a very close eye on this and unfortunately Doc showed no signs of stopping, in fact it got worse, therefore the extremely difficult decision was made to ease Doc's pain and let him run free at the Bridge. All I can say is shame on the people who left Doc to be homeless in his twilight years and I can only hope that you are free from your sufferings and running around with that great big smile back on your face Doc. You were only at the home a short while but you touched many people with your charm and good looks. RIP Doc, run free and be happy.

Oh no Doc I was there when you came out with your little orange ball, you looked so happy, even more happy when you found your prize football that had been plucked from the undergrowth, and you did make us laugh.....R.I.P. Doc, keep smiling xx

Doc, I'm so sad that I didn't have the privilege of meeting you - but your lovely face and antics on the forum pictures made me smile
I am so very sorry that things have worked out like this - you deserved so much better. I'm just glad you knew kindness in the last couple of weeks
RIP and fly at Rainbow Bridge. You mattered greatly - even to those of us who hadn't had the chance to spend time with you - and you will never be forgotten
All love, precious boy xx

I have just read the devastating news of the passing of dear Doc. No doubt if he had been loved and appreciated with the people he so trusted, then this tragedy would not have happened. He seemed a real character, such trusting eyes and a very appealing little face, and he certainly did not deserve to be abandoned in his twilight years. Such horrible, cruel, obnoxious people Thank you so much to all at CDH,who once again have picked up the pieces of a little animal's life, and gave Doc the love and care he deserved so much in his final days.

Walked Doc last Saturday, when I arrived home my wife asked who I'd taken I replied Doc and told her all about the walk, it was....and then Doc did this and then he did that and so on. He really made my day. Yesterday I decided to cheer myself up by having a look at his cheeky face on the website. Then I read the awful news I'm not afraid to say I shed a tear or two. Thanks for sharing a bit of your heart with me and for the massive lick on the ear. Look after yourself.
