Hi everybody. I'm a newly signed up volunteer, that's very excited to get to an induction day and become an official friend of the furry ones. I'm 27, 6'5 and 20+ stone but looking to change my lifestyle around and become a frequent volunteer dog walker. I've loved and lived with dogs all my life and my current canine companions are 2 gorgeous Staffie girls named Jessie (7,black brindle) and Poppy (4, Honey brown. They're the prettiest, most loyal and friendly pups I've ever shared my home with... I'm very keen to meet the volunteers at CDH but even more so the dogs I've spent hours reading about on these forums. I hope to spend time with as many as possible and become a familiar face with the rest of you. My main goal for volunteering is to improve any of the dogs lives even a little bit and help them get a new home. If I happen to lose a bit of wait from the extra activity or make some new friends, that's just a bonus. I hope to attend the next induction, which I believe is the end of April. We'll see how everything goes after that. Until then, I look forward to reading about everybody's daily adventures.

OMG - what beautiful dogs! We're not having a last Sunday of the Month induction in March, as it falls on Easter Sunday, but as a brucie bonus the April induction is on Saturday 23rd April, and we'll be sparking up the barbecue too! I'm pretty sure there's an app that counts calories as you walk, so no need to feel bad about having a burger, you'll walk it off in no time! Look forward to seeing you in April when you can officially join the Purple Pilgrims!
