Hi, im catherine, mum to two rescues, a collie-lurcher called Theo and a collie-something (are dna tests a waste of money?) called Petra because she's petrified of everything. Im not currently working so have started walking cardiff dogs 2 or 3 times a week. I would love to get to know other walkers, although i suffer from social anxiety so tend to avoid anything social like the plague. Finding the walking really good for my mental health so hopefully will be able to commit long term

Hi! it's me again from your other thread! A big welcome first off I have been walking / volunteeing since last September, and it's one of the best things I have ever done. When I joined back last year, I was crippled by social anxiety, was overweight and depressed....I am so much more confident now, I love meeting new people, and I have lost just a pound short of 3 stone! My general health and fitness have improved 100%. I am still making progress but the change has been phenomenal! I am Eve by the way, you will see me during the week and some weekends, just look for the very small person walking a rather large dog! I'm only 4'11 but tend to walk the bigger dogs! Feel free to say Hi, we are all really friendly xx

Hi Cheddah, welcome to the forum Its fab to hear you are enjoying the walking, and I agree 100% with you that it is great for our mental health! The best pick me up you can ever get is at the end of a lead! I used a doggy DNA test on my old girl Betty and I thought it was a load of rubbish She weighs 11kgs and is not much taller than a JRT (she does have stunted legs in comparison to her body length bless her) Anyhoo, her DNA result came back 80% JRT (probably accurate) and 10% Golden Retriever (she is mainly black) and 10% Standard Poodle (she molts like mad!) Really, save your money and enjoy pondering on what Petra could be
