Cardiff Half Marathon Sunday 2nd October

The Cardiff Half Marathon is on Sunday with the wheelchair race setting off at 09:50 with the rest of the field departing from 10:00 from the castle. Is anyone up for cheering on the marathon runners at Penarth Road roundabout (3 mile mark) by the Porsche garage (as we have done previously) with help from some of the dogs? It's an early start if you travelling by car as Penarth Road closes at 09:00 but great fun .The weather is looking good at the moment, I promise to bring cow bells and some chocolate brownies. Also I hear some vols are running in aid of Friends of the Dogs, Wales does anyone know who? Bx

Hi Starlite40, you just need to come along and basically yell

As Babs says, Penarth Road is closed from 9am so if you are driving make sure you are at CDH before that, we'll have a cuppa and then once the race starts we head down to the Porsche garage with some of the dogs and just cheer on the runners. Hope to see you there!

Just to update on the fundraising from our half marathon run.

I've added the offline donations to the BT Mydonate page (including gift aid.

Really happy to say that the total is now £495 including gift aid....my aches and pains were well worth it!!
