Hello Sophie. Jack is indeed still looking for a new home. He's a funny little chap with a real character who just grows and grows on you the more time you spend with him.☺️ He's certainly made me chortle over the past few weeks. We're not 100% on Jack's age. He's well out of puppyhood but certainly has a spring in his step when he chooses to. Do let us know how you get on tomorrow! Hello😊 We're popping down to Newport dogs home tomorrow morning, just wondering if the gorgeous jack is still available?? How old is he too please?? Thank you 😊

Oh handsome Jack! Had the pleasure of walking this gent today - as I do most Saturdays. He's a great little guy if lacking in confidence when out and about (can't say I blame him though! 😁) Every time I go to the dogs home, I hope that they're gonna say his forever family have adopted him. Soon, Jackie - I'm sure!

Another lovely walk with Jack this morning. I use the word 'walk' loosely - you're all familiar with Jack's quirks! But plenty of fussing was given!

Jack was not up for a walk initially today until he had another dog friend to walk with. It was lovely to see Jack walk with another dog. His character shone through as he had confidence walking with him. He was playfull & a little vocal which I have not seen before when I have walked him on his own. He was a real joy to walk. He reminded me of my old dog who needed reassurance and would love to walk with my mothers dog who was a confident little terrier. It would be so nice if a home with the right dog friend was to come his way.

I had my weekly Jack 'fix' again this morning. He's a quirky little chap but loves a little fuss.

Walked Jack this morning too (with the much appreciated company of his favourite Purple Pilgrim). He's such a great pup. And he was amazing at the sausage catching! Can't believe he's *still* waiting for his forever home!

Well Jack has been busy. He's been for a dental and has a fabulous set of pearly whites. A bubble bath today left his smelling sweet and with a shiny coat. He's embarked on a new diet regime to try and drop a few pounds. He's even been practicing his cuddles and best waggy tail with one of our young Pilgrims. He's all ready for his new home. Just one problem... His new people haven't found him yet! So Jack says, "Hurry up Mum & Dad... I'm ready and waiting to meet you! I'm currently at Newport City Dogs Home waiting patiently in kennel 2 for you to come and find me".

Jack had a lovely time out in the yard this afternoon with all of us volunteers and Baz! Watching this little white body zoom around after tennis balls was really fun. Jack would happily play fetch for ages and he's so good at bringing the ball back. He soon found a new favourite toy in the form of a green ball on a string... But Storm Brian had other plans and we headed in to the Hub for a cuddle and rest in the warm! Jack's a great lad and will make a lovely pet!! <3

I have had the pleasure of Jacks company at home for the second time today. Jack travelled in a crate in the back of my car, he travels really well and I didn't hear a murmur. perfect passenger. We decided to go to the park, Jack who is sometimes reluctant to walk at the dogs home was quite excited about going for a walk (each time I have had him away from the dogs home he has been keen to walk). We walked all through Waun Fawr park and around the Risca rugby field. it was a good 40 minute walk and I felt he would have gone on further. His social skills with other dogs are impeccable .He was interested in what my niece was doing, very sociable & interactive with humans. Back at home he responded to commands such as down, sit, come here & in. He likes to have reassurance & he would happily be your best buddy. This may have caused my dog to be a bit jealous and my dog trying to dominate Jack. I think if you want a dog who will love to spend time with you and be your companion Jacks the dog for you. I really can not believe why he has not been rehomed yet. He has been lying down on his side with my niece enjoying some attention., she's 10 years old and she adores him. Cats; initially I don't think Jack knew what they were, when he approached my cat he backed away and came to me as I had asked him. Then it was my dog who decided to chase, being rather naughty and trying to encourage Jack. I think Jack could be rehomed with the right dog and possibly cats as he showed no aggression to them, just interested. Jack presently is relaxing having a sleep, its been a busy afternoon. I think Jack is a well mannered little dog who would just be the perfect companion for someone.

It was lovely seeing Jack today. We had a short walk as he was keen to return to the home which is understandable as he is so well looked after there. Always interested & sociable with other dogs.

I have heard along the grapevine that Jack has found his furever home and I am beside myself with joy. Jack has been at the home for such a long time, and despite the dedication and love of the Purple Pilgrims in finding jack a home, Jack didn't seem to have much luck. I have been walking dogs from may this year and have observed his little quirks along the way. He is such an individual and characterful little chap that I am so happy that he has found a home that will give him the happy ever after that he deserves.

I've heard the same and couldn't be happier for little Jack! I loved his quirks but was so despondent with how long he had been at the home with seemingly little to no interest But I'm happy beyond words that he's finally got his home I have heard along the grapevine that Jack has found his furever home and I am beside myself with joy. Hi all. Just to confirm that Jack has settled in nicely. He does have a grumble or two from time to time but don't we all!! He is a little friend who is always following me around everywhere. He is a doggie who has been there, done that and so have we! A great match then.
