Update 2-
Tito has settled in really well already . For the first few days he was a little bit neurotic , he couldn't sleep or relax without being on me or touching me in some way , but i made him sleep on the sofa one night and came in, in the morning and since then he has settled down with that . Maybe he trusts i won't be going anywhere or leaving him. I have just left the door open and he happily sleeps on the sofa wrapped in a blanket and just comes in to wake me up in the morning . I have left him alone in the flat for a couple hours while i did the shopping and he chilled out . I have left him outside the shops and the same thing , he just sat and waited .
He is loving the long walks up the mountains and hills , his tail wags like crazy when we are walking through the woods and he is jumping over one branch then under another like an assault course . We have settled in on a routine , long walks in the morning out in the countryside and an explore of the local area at night . He has not messed in the house again since the first night aside from the one time he scoffed down a bone too fast and ended up with a blockage causing him to throw up his dinner XD he's ok now , his jaws are too strong for his stomach is all ,only beef bones from now on.
Honestly , he is a lovely boy . Sharp as a tac , learns fast . Listens even if there isn't food to be had for doing what he is told . He still gets excited and wants to play but im ok with that , he does graze my forearms a bit when he gets over exited but again , im ok with that as he is learning to play properly . He doesn't go for my sleeves anymore which is a progress.
With the progress he is making in terms of training , he will be off the lead by the summer i expect . I have a long leash on the way , some freeze dried liver and some tennis balls . I'll be training him as soon as possible to be off the leash . I don't forsee any issues tbh , like i said , he is sharp as a tac , probably the collie in him .
Anyway , i'll try send another update about how his training is going when we kick on with it . He's really doing great.
