Ahhhhh, who needs words?
Please whisper a gentle welcome to Fleur...
Fleur arrived unceremoniously as an abandoned stray the day before we met her. She is a darling little lady, aged about 2-3 by the vets, although as with all unmicrochipped dogs, this is only a guestimate.
Her skin in poor condition, and she did have a distinctive 'eau de dogue' when she arrived. The staff gave her a gentle bath, and we're pleased to say Fleur is now a little less 'Pepe le Pew' and a little more 'Eau de Parfum' "[img style="max-width:100%;" src="
Due to poor breeding practices Frenchies can suffer from chronic and acute digestive and skin conditions that may have to be carefully managed for the lifetime of the dog, and the staff will give preference to breed experienced homes who understand how challenging and expensive it can be to keep a Frenchie in tip tip condition.
Fleur was a little overwhelmed by all the attention she received, and it seems likely she has led a very sheltered existence. Fleur shows no sign that she has ever been walked on lead, and it may take a little time and patience for her to become accustomed to being a pet.
She has met a few of our residents and visitors though, and is a sociable little lady! Fleur has shown perfect manners around other dogs, children and even our resident kitty!
And as she us slowing getting used to us, she's certainly starting to come out of her shell!
I think there may be free kisses here! Pucker up Jenn!
