Aw Connie - how beautiful are you Connie was brought into Newport City Dogs Home as a stray, and the staff have been unable to trace her owners, so we don't have much information about her. We're guessing she's about 18 months old, and she has obviously had puppies. Connie was a little bit shy and timid when we first brought her out, but she can't help being inquisitive! Oooh it's a little person! It didn't take Connie too long to work out she was in friendly company! And once she was a little relaxed we began to see her inner puppy! It's playtime! I kiss you Aunty Jenn! I kiss you whether you want it or not! It really didn't long for Connie to discover how we roll at Newport City Dogs Home! And once she realised that she was amongst friends, there was no stopping Connie! If you'd like to meet Connie, or any of her kennel buddies, please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME for more information. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, neutering and microchip.

If you're looking for a girl that will melt your heart and then smother you on kisses then Connie might be the one for you. This lovely girl is clearly very shy and not too happy to find herself in kennels. However get her out for a walk and she is a doll. She walks beautifully on her harness, slack lead all the way and regularly checks up to see where you are. We did stop for a photo opportunity but just as I snapped away she went in for the full cuddle. Not the best shot there really lovely girl!😁 Although she has only been at Newport City Dogs Home for less than a week and we're still getting to know Connie, she's shown that she's good around children and we've tentatively started to introduce her other dogs. I'm sure that whoever is lucky enough to have this girl join their family will be rewarded with laughter and cuddles, kisses and snuggles, and more loyalty than you could hope for. She really is a joy! ❤

Finally this girl posed for the camera! Now yes, we know they're not the most flattering, but have you any idea just how good rabbit poo smells to this girl?! 🤦😁 Anyway she was clearly enjoying herself so much during out walk on Monday, that I wasn't going to distract her from her fun to snap a few more pics. Connie is off for her "big girls op" this week so I'm sure she'll be happy for some sofa cuddles at the weekend and hopefully will be happier to pose for the camera.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any pictures as we were simply having too much fun, but Connie had a doggie playdates with Oreo pup yesterday.
What lovely manners Connie displayed! She was happy to run full pelt round the garden with our youngster but was respectful of the size difference between the two of them.
If you're looking for another dog to add to you household, I'm sure that Connie would love to be a fur-sister to an already resident dog!

Connie has found THE. BEST. FOREVER. HOME. EVER. Having been jilted at the altar at the last minute by a previous applicant Connie's new family fell in love the moment they met her, and the rest is history! Well, actually, we prefer to say the rest is a wonderfully happy future! Good luck in your new home Connie, we'll miss your lovely face, but we are thrilled for you sweetheart, absolutely thrilled!
