There's no shortage of handsome hunks at Cardiff Dogs Home at the moment! Meet Caesar Blimey Caesar - this isn't a mug shot - you haven't been 'banged up' for being naughty! This is your rehoming profile - you are allowed to smile! That's better! How d'you do handsome boy! Pleased to meet ya Aunty Sooz! Caesar simply adores soft toys. He loves toys full stop! What happens next Aunty Sooz? I hear there is a GARDEN for me to play in? Am I allowed? Come on then big fella! Let's go! Yippee!!!!! This is more like it! Caesar has stunning markings, and appears to have a map of the subcontinent of India on his side Caesar has heard that there are some chunky little pups up for adoption at CDH, and he would like to remind everyone that chunky little pups can grow up into verrrrry big dogs! If you don't have room in your hearts and your home for 40 kilo's of adorableness lolloping towards you then maybe one of the pups isn't really for you. And if you DO want a large breed dog - why not consider one that comes with lovely adult credentials! No puppy pooing or chewing, no housetraining, Caesar is a good to go stunner! If you would like to meet Caesar or any of the dogs for rehoming please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Had a nice long walk with Caesar today, he didn’t mind the wet weather one bit! He is a strong dog who pulled a bit on the walk out of the home down the lane but soon settled and was easy to handle. He is interested in other dogs but his tail was up and only wanted to play. When we stopped for a treat he knew what to do and sat straight away to offer his paw! He is a big softy.

I walked Caesar this afternoon, and what a handsome courteous gentleman he was. He walked really well on the lead, pulled towards other dogs but showed no reactivity. and all in all we had a fabulous walk. He did start pulling as we got nearer the Home on the way back as it was apparently tea time, he's a strong boy, but whenever I spoke to him , he turned and looked at me and I think he's easily trained. Obviously, the staff will know a lot more about him, but I thought he was a stunning boy. Hopefully he won't be here too long.

Took Caesar out today. What a lovely dog! He might seem like he's pulling quite a bit initially, but really all he wants is to lead - the walkers, "the pack" or... the Roman Empire - his name really is quite fitting. Once we let him be in front of both of us, he was happy to go slower as long as no one was trying to overtake him. He doesn't care too much about getting fuss but I could tell he quite enjoys getting some head scratches. Caesar definitely knows his name, and you can always rely on him to give you a funny face when you call him. He was happy to give me his very muddy paw every time I tried my luck and we saw he knows how to sit well too. There is no denial he is absolutely beautiful - his colouration/marks are just stunning and so is his velvety black nose. His funny faces steal the show though, you can always rely on this boy to make you laugh.

I was lucky enough to take the handsome Caesar out for the first time yesterday. I’ve heard so many good things about him, but have only just managed to find out for myself! He’s awesome 😍. He’s a hunky chunky cuddle monster, seriously - he couldn’t get enough belly rubs and does a very sweet lean into you too. Having said that, he clearly loves a good long walk and although he is strong he doesn’t pull too much so is manageable and listens well. He didn’t really like the look of Jade on the other side of the road when she was wearing the cone of shame - don’t think he could work out what was going on, but we had no trouble passing any other dogs and he’s great with traffic and cyclists etc. As previously mentioned he does pull some funny faces, he’s so expressive he’s fantastic - you can’t be in a bad mood with Caesar around. He’s a good to go dog with a great personality. If you’ve got a soft spot for ABDs and a large sofa to share - go and meet him, I’m pretty sure you’ll fall in love with him.

Let's bump the gorgeous Caesar up the list! I took him out today and what a wonderful big boy he is! Strong on the lead to start but then trots along next to you and nuzzles his nose into your hand every now and again and, when walking slightly ahead he constantly looks back at you and he is so expressive! I smiled the whole time I spent with him, especially the times he was laying on his back with his legs in the air enjoying a tummy tickle! Lovely, lovely boy who holds a piece of my heart x

Caesar is now our longest termer, and we just don't understand why he has been passed by. He's very energetic and lively, and he does find life in kennels a bit frustrating, but get him out into the garden and he's an absolute joy! We a garden date for Valentine's Day with Caesar, soooooo much fun! He is getting so lonely he was playbowing to the tuggy We gave him the pick of the toy box, and out came tough chewy lizard! Boredom-busting toys mean more than you could possibly imagine to a dog who has nothing to his name.. So we let Caesar take this one back to his kennel Caesar is always very eager when he comes out on his walks, and if you want to see him at his cuddly best ask the staff if you can take him into the garden. He has so much love to give...

The mighty Caesar! I took this handsome gent for a walk two days ago, and had such a great time. He responds well on the lead, listens out for your commands as you're walking and was even up for a quick run. Caesar is a strong boy. He's also a big softy, though, and is happy to nuzzle up for some love and fuss every so often. Just look at these kisses! - Caesar really is a gentle giant. I could tell just by the hour I spent with him that he would make a great pet, and for the right person, a fantastic friend. I hope you find your forever home soon, buddy.

What's not to love about this boy? He is just the biggest cuddle monster with a happy, slobbery grin on his handsome face!!! He has itchy skin on his tummy at the moment and wasn't quite as bouncy as usual but he still knows how to make you smile! Oh Caesar, why are you still waiting for that special someone? ?? Lovely, lovely boy who just needs a chance to show you how much love he has to give. 💙😍💙🐾💙🐾😘

I can’t believe Caesar is still here - he is such a character, always pleased to see you and loves to go for a walk. He’s still a cuddle monster and likes nothing more than stopping for a good fuss. He does a very nice sit and paw for a treat, although he can be a bit greedy so it’s best not to give him too many! He’s a hunky chunky affectionate and clever boy that picks things up pretty quickly, and is always ready to give you lovely slobbery ABD kisses. He’s waiting patiently for his forever family, who I hope will find him very soon – he deserves to be snoozing on his own sofa asap.

I had the pleasure of walking the gentle giant that is Caesar this afternoon. He's a strong dog but walked well on the lead after the initial excitement of being outside! He pulled towards other dogs but wasn't at all aggressive and had no problems with cyclists or traffic. I hope he finds his perfect home soon :-)
