Ooooh, they don't come much better looking than Duke This handsome young boy was brought in by a gentleman who claimed he found Duke straying. Duke is chipped and his registered keeper was contacted. Apparently she had given Duke away to someone who sounded remarkably like Duke's 'finder', who lived in the same area as Duke's 'finder' and who in all likelihood was in fact Duke's 'finder'. But although Duke has clearly changed hands more than a few times, he has clearly never met a keeper, someone who knows that a dog is for life. That's not to suggest that there is anything 'wrong' with Duke, just that there is something very wrong with people who think dogs can be passed from pillar to post. Shame on them Duke is a fabulously friendly and affectionate boy! He is a barrel of laughs, and finds joy in the simplest things! Duke will bring back a ball a thousand times! Best game ever eh Duke? Duke has been stepping out with Sadie Staffie, they make a verrrry handsome pair! Duke hasn't put a paw wrong since the day he arrived, and we would love to see him settled on his own sofa in time for Christmas! For more information, or if you'd like to meet DUke please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.

Hello Pat and Emma.
Best to get in touch with Newport City Dogs Home when they reopen to the public on Wednesday to check if they are still accepting applications for Duke.

Duke has left the building There are new arrivals at both Cardiff and Newport centres on a daily basis, so if you missed out on the Dukester do keep an eye out for our new incomers. Duke has a new mamma and pappa and 18 month old little baba sister who he absolutely adores. We absolutely love to see our dogs rehomed into young households with children. What a fabulous 'happy ever after' for Duke
