Please welcome Rex [img style="max-width:100%;" src=" This little fella was brought in as a stray, and as no-one has come forward to claim him Rex is looking for a forever home. Rex is a sweet little dog, still a little anxious at his recent change of circumstances, but who could blame him? He is obviously missing his owners, even if they are not missing him Rex will be spending Christmas Day in kennels, but he has already opened his Christmas Stocking, and was very grateful for his lovely woolly jumper! Doesn't he look fab! If you'd like to meet Rex please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Poor little Rex has been returned to Cardiff Dogs Home. He is still the worried little fella that left us a few months ago. Rex is very submissive, and little hand shy. He doesn't seem to find joy in anything Rex needs a kind, patient and understanding owner who will give him the time and space to learn to trust, and find his inner puppy. Better luck second time around eh Rex? Don't lose the faith little 'uns, the right home is out there somewhere.

I walked little Rex yesterday afternoon and he was an absolute delight. He walks really well on the lead, no bother around other dogs or traffic. He doesn't pull at all and we had a leisurely walk down through the trading estate to Penarth Road then on to Grangemoor Park. He kept checking back on me to make sure I was still with him When we got right into Grangemoor Park, passing several other dogs with no reaction at all, I sat down on a bench by the river and Rex jumped right up onto my lap where he enjoyed a lovely belly rub. We enjoyed some time in the sun, a drink and a couple of treats (Rex does a lovely 'sit' by the way) then we made our way back to CDH. We stopped at the last set of benches on the way back where Rex jumped right up by my side again for a nice cwtch. When we got back to CDH we waited for a member of staff to take Rex back into kennel and again he jumped up on the bench and cwtched right into me. I didn't want to give him back, could very easily have taken him home with me! My impression of him is nothing like the description of him on his profile so if you are interested please go and see him and make your own mind up. I think he would make a wonderful pet.

Aww poor little Rex. He needs someone who's going to let him settle in his own time. He sounds like such a charming little dog and I hope someone special comes along very soon for him.
